I booked a two-day, one-night hotel package at Park Hyatt on April 18, 2025, which included accommodation for two, breakfast for two, and a seafood buffet. I was looking forward to staying at this international star hotel, but the final experience disappointed me, even worse than a small hotel. First, when checking in, the front desk clerk visually observed that my husband needed a cane to get in and out, but he unexpectedly arranged us in the last room farthest from the elevator without warning. Other hotels usually ask guests for their opinions before making arrangements, which makes us feel ignored. But when we arrived at the restaurant on time for dinner, we were not greeted with a warm welcome, but were told that "there are guests who have reserved the venue today and no buffet is arranged." At that time, I wondered if I had made a mistake. After checking the order confirmation on my mobile phone, I realized that although there was a reservation, I could not eat. This made me feel helpless and angry. Then a manager named Iris came out to coordinate, but only took us to another floor to enjoy a very limited dinner option, which was not comparable to the buffet at all. Iris finally proposed several solutions: 1. Come to the hotel for dinner in the future; 2. Go to the so-called higher-end lunch buffet opposite at noon tomorrow; 3. Refund part of the fee at a discounted package price, that is, 350 yuan for each person out of 488 yuan. I want to emphasize that I am very disappointed with this way of handling things. As a big hotel, customers should be given more attention, not just monetary compensation. That night, a male manager came to our room to understand the situation. When I checked out the next day, the lobby manager told me that a Hong Kong manager named Mr. Luk would follow up later. This ended the trip.
