Reviews
This is the Zhenpin Series - Chaotian Galaxy / Bright Moon (not sure which one was taken that night). Boarding point: Chaotianmen Pier No. 7 (requires quite a bit of walking). The overall hull looks very new, with facilities in a somewhat "old money" style. The top deck is entirely an open-air terrace, but the best viewing platforms are cordoned off as VIP areas that require an upgrade fee to access. Actually, the viewing areas on the left and right sides of the second floor are quite good—not too crowded, allowing you to enjoy the sea breeze and the beautiful night scenery. There is a broadcast guide along the way introducing the night views, but the speech is too fast and too quiet; with a lot of people around, it's hard to hear clearly, but overall it's still a good experience. Most importantly: Boarding method: A WhatsApp message will send a link, which opens to a Chinese-version electronic boarding pass. The ticket inspectors only accept this plus a passport—they do not recognize the English version, so please be careful about this.
A little late to cast off but well organised and stunning views on the 1 hour route. Pier wasn’t crowded and easy to find with large signs everywhere. There is a Chinese and English recorded announcement message as you get to certain landmarks but it’s generally hard to hear. The boat has plenty of refreshments from popcorn to beer. Getting off is a bit of a mass stampede but generally, well done.
I recently took the Liangjiang Classic Night Cruise, departing from the Hongya Cave Pier, and it was truly a highlight of my trip to Chongqing. The view was absolutely stunning. Seeing the iconic stilt houses of Hongya Cave, the Qiansimen Bridge, and the massive Raffles City lit up at night from the river gave me a whole new perspective on the city's unique "mountain city" architecture. The cool breeze on the river felt great, and it was the perfect backdrop for photos. The boarding process at Hongya Cave Pier was well-organized, and the staff were helpful. The boat itself was clean, and the seating provided great visibility for everyone on board. The duration of the cruise was just right—long enough to soak in the atmosphere without feeling rushed. If you are a first-time visitor to Chongqing, I highly recommend this cruise. It is a fantastic way to experience the vibrant, neon-lit skyline of this city. Great value for money and a wonderful experience overall!
The QR code wouldn't scan, so my passport was checked and I entered. I thoroughly enjoyed Chongqing's night view during the roughly 45-minute cruise. As expected, a night cruise is an absolute must for a city with a river. It was a short time, but I loved it. If you travel to Chongqing, I definitely recommend taking the night cruise.
This was another truly memorable tour, allowing us to see the beautiful cityscapes at night along both banks of the river.
It was very beautiful, but we were traveling with elderly people, so it was quite difficult because the pier was shaky and looked scary. Also, when paying via QR code, only one code was provided, but there were three of us traveling, which caused a fair amount of time checking. However, the views and atmosphere were incredibly beautiful and well worth the visit.
while the skyline was amazing, I didn't like how the queues were not very organized properly and people were just pushing everywhere, both when getting on and off the boat. if you sit at the top deck, people are also going to be smoking around too.
It seems I had to exchange a paper ticket, but there was no specific guidance on how to use it. The QR code on the Klook voucher wasn't recognized at the entrance, so I had to wait separately, and a staff member eventually found the correct code for me. The night view was great!
Awesome experience! Beautiful Scenery and accomodating staffs plus they have snack and drinks on board!
Highly recommended. Klook partner was responsive and very efficient-- emailed us for passport details ahead of time so they can secured our tix and send copy via email
