- Hainan Tropical Wildlife Garden is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction integrating popular science exhibitions of rare wild animals and plants, protection and breeding, sightseeing and tourism, and leisure and vacation. It is a natural museum that panoramically displays the island-type tropical rainforest ecosystem and condenses the essence of Hainan's flora and fauna. Hainan Tropical Wildlife Garden was established in 1995 and is located on the shore of the scenic Dongshan Lake in Dongshan Town, Xiuying District, Haikou City, only 27 kilometers away from Haikou City. The park covers an area of more than 1,500 acres (of which the animal viewing area alone covers 1,300 acres), and currently has more than 100 species of rare birds and animals, with more than 2,000 animals (only); there are 280 families and more than 1,000 species of rare tropical plants, and the tropical forest coverage rate is as high as 99%.
- Entering the scenic area is like entering a natural "big oxygen bar"; the tour process is like taking a wonderful "forest bath". The scenery in the park is purely natural, and the vast forest and dense plants create a good living environment for animals; the artificial jungle paths and various exotic flowers and plants make tourists feel like they are in a world of birds and flowers, full of vitality, and enter a wonderful, thrilling and interesting jungle animal world.
- The scenic area is mainly divided into a drive-through tour area and a walking tour area. The drive-through tour area has changed the pattern of urban zoos with high walls and iron cages. Various ferocious animals are raised naturally. Tourists drive through the drive-through beast area to fully experience the magical feeling of "people in cages and beasts outside". The scenic area's star animals mainly include: giant pandas (national treasure), Hainan Eld's deer, Asian elephants, giraffes, African lions, Siberian tigers, liger, white-cheeked gibbons, black bears, elks, macaques, hippos, black swans, flamingos, etc.
- The scenic area's Flamingo Restaurant covers an area of 1,600 square meters and can accommodate more than 600 people at the same time. In addition to being fresh and alive, the restaurant's dishes are also natural green foods, mainly Hainan local specialties.
