I participated in a one-day tour to Hadong and it was so much fun. I am currently studying Korean studies and am very interested in Korean culture. Thanks to the tour guide, I learned a lot of interesting things about Hadong. For example, the name "Hadong" comes from the Chinese characters "Ha" (河, meaning river) and "Dong" (東, meaning east). In other words, it refers to the area east of the Seongsin River. I also learned that Hadong is famous for Jirisan Mountain and the Seongsin River. Jirisan National Park is the first national park in Korea and the park with the second highest mountain in Korea. Also, my favorite activity during this trip was wearing a hanbok and drinking tea while riding the rail park. I also heard that there is a famous cherry blossom tunnel there, so I will definitely visit again in the spring. <3
This was my first visit to Hadong, and it was an unforgettable day. Although the weather was gloomy in the first half of the day due to the rain, it added a special charm to the area. The nature was simply breathtaking! We started with a tea ceremony, donned hanbok, enjoyed rice with mushrooms, and visited a Buddhist temple Ssanggyesa. Then we went to the Starway Hadong observation deck and ended the day with a ride on the Rail bike. All this in one day, but it was so packed with interesting experiences! The tour organizers were very polite. Especially the guide was a very pleasant and cheerful person. I highly recommend this tour to nature lovers, as well as those interested in Korean culture and history. You won’t regret it!
It takes more than two hours to drive from Hadong to Busan. The public transportation system is not as convenient as that in big cities, and the distances between scenic spots are relatively scattered. It is very suitable for joining this kind of one-day group trip without worrying about traffic problems. The first stop on the itinerary is the Hadong Tea Museum. You can simply experience the Korean tea ceremony culture and take photos wearing Korean clothes. The teacher said that Hadong is an internationally renowned 녹차 producing area. The tea provided on site is also the tea that recently won an award at the expo. South Korea The tea tastes warmer and lighter than Taiwanese tea. For lunch, I had mushroom rice in a very traditional Korean style. I dug out the rice from the iron pot and soaked it in hot soup to turn it into crispy rice. The mushroom rice was eaten with different kinds of side dishes on the table, which was a bit like eating 비빔밥. Feel. The crispy rice soup is tasteless but it fully demonstrates the atmosphere of traditional Korean food. Those who like this kind of cuisine will find it very novel. Later, we also went up to Jirisan Mountain and visited Ssanggyeongsa Temple, a famous Buddhist holy place in Hadong. There are green mountains near the temple. Although the fog is too thick on rainy days to block the distant mountain scenery, the surrounding mountains can be seen. In fact, it is also very beautiful. The rail bike experience is also very interesting. We will first take a small train to take us to the end point, and then ride an electric bicycle from the end point back to the starting point. The scenery along the way is also mostly towards villages and mountain scenery, and there will be some spots along the way. The staff would greet us and wave, which was lovely.
It was an amazing trip! We got to travel and also learn about the culture and history of Hadong. Had an amazing experience at the tea museum and the railbike! A very new and unforgettable experience in my life! Oh, and the view from the Starway Hadong is superb! The staffs were also so friendly and full of information. Definitely an educative trip
I decided to do something special for my birthday, so I chose this travel package. One of the best parts of the trip was the breathtaking views 💯. I loved riding the train with my boyfriend; the tunnel was filled with romance, and we shared some perfect moments together. The guide was very patient and made a lot of jokes, which added to the relaxed atmosphere of the trip. Thanks to his sense of humor, we enjoyed the journey even more. Overall, despite the weather, I would give this package an 8 out of 10.
I had the pleasure of joining a one-day tour to Hadong, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The tour was exceptionally well-organized, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. A big part of the success of the day was thanks to our guide, who was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly and attentive to everyone in the group. Their insights into the local culture and history really enriched the experience. The tour program was very well thought out, offering a perfect balance of activities. One of the highlights was the traditional tea ceremony, where we got to learn about and taste some of the finest Korean teas. It was such a peaceful and enjoyable experience! Another memorable moment was trying on the traditional Korean attire, Hanbok. It was so much fun to see everyone dressed up, and it gave us a real sense of connection to the local culture. The scenery in Hadong is absolutely breathtaking, especially the mountain views. Taking in the serene landscape was a great way to unwind and appreciate the natural beauty of the region. Overall, this tour was a fantastic way to experience Hadong in a short amount of time, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore this beautiful part of Korea!
I had never heard of "Hadong" which is about two hours away from Busan. It was my first time taking a one-day tour and I realized that Hadong's status is like the Pinglin area of Greater Taipei. The special environment produces good tea that is famous far and wide. It is known as the "cradle of Korean tea culture". The one-day trip to Hadong from Busan includes riding the Hadong Railway Bike, the enthusiastic and energetic Flower Market, climbing the Star Way to see the beautiful scenery of the river valley, visiting Shuanggyi Temple, and finally having a cup of good tea at the Hadong Wild Tea Museum. End of a wonderful day!
This one day trip to Hadong has been one of the best memories I've made in South Korea. Starting from the amazing experience in getting to know more about the tradicional tea ceremony and wearing the Hanbok, having a delicious lunch, learning all the details about the city, understanding the importance of the monasteries for the Korean society, getting to see up close the second biggest mountain in South Korean and finishing with the iconic Rail Bike was an experience I will never forget. I definitely recommend this tour! Very comfortable, nice explanations and an incredible vibe :) Can't wait to visit Hadong during all the seasons to see the beautiful details this city has to offer!
We had such a great time in Hadong. In a day trip we could discover all the beauty of slow cityg Hadong. We've visited to Hadong's tea museum and had an opportunity to experience Korean tea culture. Wearing Korean traditional clothes (hanbok), learning how in the past Koreans used to serve tea ti their guests and tasting the tea Hadong is famous for was a valuable experience. During all the time the tour guide was providing us interesting historical facts and information about the city and places we've visited. Another impressive part of the trip was taking a rail bycicle. Prepare your camera to take a lot of pictures and of course enjoy every moment of the trip. Thanks to the staff for organizing such an amazing trip.
