Reviews summaryMy friends and I took this route on August 7th, and the entire experience was fantastic. First, let's talk about the pace of the trip. On the first day, we gradually ascended from Chengdu to Mount Siguniang, and I didn't experience any discomfort. Shuangqiao Valley is truly beautiful, with snow-capped mountains reflecting in the lake. The sightseeing bus meant we didn't have to walk much, which was great for our energy levels. On the second day, the prayer flag ceremony at the Yala Snow Mountain observation deck was very ceremonial. Drinking coffee in Gulong Village with the snow-capped mountains as a backdrop created an incredible atmosphere. In the evening at Yuzi West, we were incredibly lucky to see the 'Golden Mountain bathed in sunlight.' The wind was strong at that moment, but everyone held up their phones, unwilling to put them down. On the third day, we enjoyed horseback riding and nomadic experiences on Tagong Grassland. Our driver and guide accompanied us throughout, taking photos without rushing us at all. Three days in heaven for my eyes, and hell for my body? Not at all! The altitude progression was quite scientific, and even though I don't exercise much, I felt fine. The small group made for a comfortable ride, and it was a bonus that no one was seated in the middle of the back row.
I just finished a 3-day tour of Mount Siguniang and Yuzixi. The scenery at Mount Siguniang in early March was truly breathtaking. The snow-capped mountains in Shuangqiao Valley were magnificent; although the weather was still quite cold, the sunlit mountain views made me forget the chill, and the photos turned out exceptionally well. The snow mountain coffee at Gulong Village was a truly pretentious yet amazing spot, haha. The stone forest at Mo Shi Park was also a very unique attraction, giving off an otherworldly, mysterious vibe, and it was fantastic for photos. I personally felt the daily itinerary was just right, not too tiring. The small group format allowed me to meet some like-minded friends, making the entire trip very enjoyable. The accommodation was also comfortable, making it perfect for young people to experience.
Our whole family didn't experience severe altitude sickness. Our driver, Brother Hui, reminded us to drink water daily, checked our blood oxygen levels, and had plenty of oxygen tanks on hand. The small yellow flowers were in full bloom on the grassland, and the nomadic experience made the children very happy. The itinerary wasn't rushed, allowing ample time for photos at each stop. Drinking coffee and admiring Yala Snow Mountain in Gulong Village offered an unforgettable tranquility. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip; it was excellent and well worth experiencing.
Many thanks to the travel agency for their professional arrangements. The itinerary was well-planned, making the entire trip worry-free and smooth, leading to an excellent overall experience. I especially want to commend our driver, Master Xiao Li! Our tour guide, Master Xiao Li, was truly outstanding! He meticulously planned everything, drove skillfully, knew the routes well, and ensured a safe and comfortable journey. He proactively helped us with our luggage and enthusiastically recommended attractions and routes in Western Sichuan, sharing many practical and interesting tips. At each stop, he carefully reminded us of important details. He was responsible, reliable, and punctual, making our trip incredibly easy and enjoyable. Thank you very much! This trip was excellent, almost like a private tour, as our group only had two people. The driver, Xiao Li, provided great service, even helping us take photos. We communicated via WeChat and a translation app. Thai people can definitely use this service, as I didn't find many reviews from Thais. We got an SUV with water and oxygen canisters. The hotel was clean and up to standard. We could ask to stop anywhere (additional charges applied depending on the agreement). However, on the last day, we were unlucky and didn't get to see the snow-capped mountains.
On the first day, we arrived at Siguniang Mountain's Shuangqiao Valley. The snow hadn't completely melted, and the redwood forest was a vast expanse of white, making photos look like winter. On the second day, at Tagong Grassland, the grass was yellow this season, but we were incredibly lucky to see the sunset over Mount Yala and Mount Gongga, turning them into golden peaks. The wind was intense, but it was worth it. The hotels in Danba and Xinduqiao were good, with oxygen supply, so we slept very well. The driver navigated the mountain roads steadily and even helped us find good spots for photos. Highly recommended!
extremely worthwhile trip. firstly, the views were out of this world. I went as a solo female traveller in early November, at the peak of autumn and the weather was beautifully sunny everyday. driver 王民强 was extremely masterful and knowledgeable about the route. I thought the drives would be extremely long, but it’s only long on the first day from Chengdu to mount siguniang, and on the last day on the way back to Chengdu, which lasted about 3-4h. the rest of the drive was manageable, and were around 1h, with stops in between. the car ride was spacious and comfortable. the group consisted of 5 people and we were all in our twenties and got along well, having meals and exploring the attractions together. none of us had altitude sickness and enjoyed our trip thoroughly. hotels were comfortable and better than expected, although the toilets did have some stains. overall a very enjoyable trip and would recommend it, especially to young people looking for views and some adventure.
It was a very fun trip. The driver took very good care of us, like we were brothers and sisters. The Chinese people on the trip were also lovely and helped take care of us and communicated well with us. The hotel was a luxury hotel every night. There might be a little bit of breakfast that we didn't like. The tour was flexible and focused on satisfying the travelers and going to the highlight spots where the photos were beautiful. Thank you very much and I will definitely come back to support you again.
It was a great trip to Western Sichuan! Someone was responsible for arranging the entire itinerary, so all we had to do was get on the bus, sleep, and get off to visit attractions. We didn't have to worry about a thing. The driver was very experienced in the area and immediately adjusted the itinerary when it rained or the weather was bad. He was also very kind, sharing many local customs and willing to answer any questions. The hotels booked through the platform were also excellent, clean, and comfortable. One night, we even experienced a guesthouse/hotel with a strong Tibetan style, complete with oxygen supply, so we slept comfortably and soundly even at altitudes above 3,000 meters.
In late April, the Yuzixi Grassland was just starting to turn green, and while the wildflowers hadn't bloomed yet, the views were incredible. We saw the Gongga mountain range at dusk. The photos taken at Jiangbu Sacred Mountain were shot by the driver with a DSLR, and there was no extra charge. The editing was a bit simple, but the original photos were already excellent. There was a light snowfall at Siguniang Mountain that day, and the snowy scenery was very therapeutic. The driver's skills were steady, and I didn't get carsick on the mountain roads. The daily driving time wasn't long, so I wasn't tired after three days of touring. It was much less hassle than traveling independently, mainly because the roads in Western Sichuan can be tricky, so having an experienced driver made me feel much more at ease. Highly recommended.
So much fun, beautiful places to visit, great driver, the tour company gave great information, clear and complete details, impressed with every spot, most importantly the accommodation was very good, much better than expected. At first, I bought it without expecting much, thinking it was just joining a tour, but when I tried it, I really liked it. I posted pictures on Facebook and everyone asked. I highly recommend it. Thank you.
