Reviews
safety: All smooth. The tour was trully an experience worth remembering both Alcatraz and the cruise. itinerary: Expect more walking, wear your comfortable shoes. Prepare your QR codes and be 30 minutes ahead on time. attractions on route: For Alcatraz, Self guided tour is extraordinary. For the cruise better be early to choose best seats in the boat. service: Very good. value for money: Worth it. Free photos after the tour of the cruise.
This was my first trip to the United States, and when I came to San Francisco, I had to visit the Golden Gate Bridge and the very special Alcatraz Prison, so I chose Klook’s half-day tour. The meeting point is at Pier 33, and the Uber address is preset, making it easy to find. The instructions were clear upon arrival, and there are toilets on site and on the boat. It is recommended to scan the QR code and queue up early, which will help you choose your favorite seat when boarding the ship. The boat is very big, both indoors and outdoors, and there is also a hawker shop (you can only pay by credit card). Alcatraz Island is very close and will arrive in about half an hour. After landing on the island, someone will stand on a small stage to explain it to everyone, and then everyone can explore on their own. , follow the direction everyone is walking and you will arrive at the audio cellroom, where you can get audio guides for various countries. They are available in all countries. Please tell the staff on site how many people are you traveling with? Which language? Someone will help you set it up, and then you can follow the instructions to start listening and walking around. If your walking speed is slower than the tour guide, you can press the pause button and wait until you reach the next tour area before pressing play again. After walking along, you will reach the return office, and then visit the souvenir area. It is highly recommended to buy something as a souvenir. The return boat does not need to match the ticket time, you only need to gather at the port and wait for the next boat to board the boat and return. For the next one-hour cruise experience on the Golden Gate Bridge, you need to go to Pier 39. There is a small yellow and blue room to exchange tickets. Use QRcode to exchange for paper tickets. Go to the queue 15 minutes before the ship arrives. Personnel before boarding We will take commemorative photos for everyone, and you can buy them when you get off the ship. It costs 42 US dollars but there are three photos, which is very memorable. There are outdoor and indoor areas on the ship. It will pass by the bridge, cross the bridge and go around in a circle, allowing everyone to take photos to their satisfaction. After getting off the ship, you can visit Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39, it’s perfect! In short, I highly recommend everyone to buy this trip. I believe it will be a great memory in San Francisco.
self guided free and easy tour! you can walk around freely with no time limitations unlike following a tour group. highly recommended to book earlier as online website tix runs out fast.
Buying tickets first and booking your itinerary is the right choice🙆You can’t buy tickets on site at all! Too many tourists! First, we went to Pier 33 to take a shuttle boat to Alcatraz Island. We borrowed a free tour guide to listen to the introduction of the island. It was shocking to see the former prison. We stayed on the island for about 2 hours. After that, we returned to Fisherman’s Wharf and changed our mind. Go to Pier 39 to take a sightseeing boat. You can download the app on your mobile phone first, and you can listen to the tour guide while cruising. It takes about an hour to enjoy the scenery of the entire San Francisco coastline, and finally pass under the Golden Gate Bridge. It is very spectacular👏👏👏 😆
It's value for money. I got the ticket to Alcatraz tour and another ticket to sightseeing cruise. Everything is perfect!
The trip includes a ticket for Alcatraz and a ticket for a San Francisco cruise. You can decide the time of the San Francisco cruise yourself, and it can be on a different day from Alcatraz. It can be adjusted at any time depending on weather conditions, so it is very flexible.
Overall not bad, the redemption at PIER 39 wasn't too smooth but it was eventually sorted out and we got on the boat.
It's worth it!!! If you have time, you must participate!! The guide machine has Chinese, and the tour inside the prison is very complete!
The Alcatraz Island and Golden Gate Bridge cruise is very convenient. If you want to photograph these two landmarks in San Francisco, taking a boat to get closer offers the best shots. The island provides Chinese audio guides, which is very convenient, and you can see that Americans have a system for managing national park tourism. Note that the island's shops don't open until 10:30 AM!
Awesome experience
