The JR Pass Kagawa Mini Rail & Ferry Pass is very cost-effective. The manual exchange process is more rigorous compared to other regions (please allow plenty of time for the exchange). Using JR and the most common train lines to go to and from Kotohira-gu Shrine, we got to ride the Anpanman train 😀. Going to Shodoshima, we got to ride the Slowpoke ferry, which was super cute! This is all you need to conquer the Setouchi Art Festival! It's very convenient and cost-effective! Because you have to island-hop to different prefectures, take connecting buses, and transfer to ferries, you really need it! But remember to exchange your ticket in advance, and just show it to the station staff at the ticket gate when boarding the bus. You don't need to scan the QR code. Also, just show it to the staff when they check tickets on the bus. No problems at all, everything went smoothly!

Using this pass, I took JR to Marugame Castle, then went to Sky Torii, Parents Beach, and took a ferry to Shodoshima's Angel Road, Olive Park, and Twenty-Four Eyes Film Village. great value
A convenient option, no need to buy tickets at each stop. On the first day, I went to Shodoshima, and on the second day, I went to Kinbitara Shrine and the area around Kannonji Temple.
I bought this pass for my trip to Takamatsu this time, which is a great deal. It allows unlimited rides on the JR free seats and Kotohira Electric Railway in Kagawa Prefecture within 2 days. You can use it to go to Shiundeshan, Kotohira Park, Takaya Shrine, Kotohira Shrine, and Ritsurin Park to enjoy cherry blossoms. You can redeem it directly at the JR Takamatsu green window.
