Reviews summaryThe Kulen Mountain trip, including the waterfall and the elephant sanctuary, was fantastic. Sean, our guide, and the driver were both great. Everything went smoothly, and they knew exactly where to take photos. We highly recommend this trip.
A meticulously organized tour and a fantastic experience that allows you to see authentic and charming places. Our guide, Makara, immediately proved to be very knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks to him, we also have a lot of beautiful photos that we wouldn't have been able to take on our own. The visit to the elephant sanctuary was also very special.
This was hands down the best experience we’ve EVER experienced. Absolutely fantastic and highly highly recommended. Mr August our guide was awesome making the whole experience even more fantastic, and his awesome driver who navigated those roads was amazing too. Definitely recommend, and would do again when back in Siem Reap. We initially booked just because of the Elephants but the extras along the way were breathtaking. Then the Elephants topped it off with the professional organiser at the sanctuary getting it done regardless of the weather. Definitely the best life experience ever.
This tour was definitely worth the money. Our tour guide Mr. Makara and the driver were prompt and professional with such a friendly demeanor. Mr. Makara's knowledge base was impressive paired with his passion and love for his country. We received cold water bottles and towels throughout. The entire tour was well put together. The highlight was the Elephant Sanctuary along with the humorous guide Seth. It was truly unforgettable experience. We would also like to thank Mr. Makara for taking pictures of us to have as memories which allowed ys to be in the moment fully. We will cherish these memories always.
we enjoyed the trip. Mr Makara and the driver came early. they made sure we are very comfortable. theres always cold water and cold facial towel to cool us down after every spot. the lunch was delicious as well. Kulen Mountain is beautiful. the 1000 linga river is also amazing. the highlight of the trip was the elephant sanctuary. we got to interact with the rescued elephants who are very gentle. they need visitors so that they can sustain the food that the elephants need. Highly recommended activity! worth the price.
I signed up for a day tour of Kulen Mountain in the morning and an elephant tour in the afternoon. Mony as a guide and Mark as a driver came to the hotel lobby at 7:30 to pick me up, and they kept preparing refreshing lemon-scented handkerchiefs and cool water during the tour, so it was really nice every time I took a short tour and got in the car. Both the guide and the driver were very kind, and they spoke English like native speakers, so I learned a lot. During the morning Kulen Mountain tour, they always took care of us first and kept talking about this and that, so it felt like I was touring with a close friend. The palm cake I had at the beginning was really delicious, and the view from Amazing Cliff was truly an amazing sight that is hard to see in reality. After that, the reclining Buddha and 1000 Lingas were also unique experiences, and the picnic under the waterfall was a really healing tour. The chicken I ate during the picnic was also really delicious. During the afternoon elephant tour, even while experiencing making elephant snacks, unlike other guides, they always took pictures of us from far away and up close, which I was grateful for, and it was a great memory. The elephant tour was also great because it gave me the opportunity to interact with the elephants directly. At the end of the elephant tour, a sudden downpour came down, but they quickly brought me an umbrella, so I was able to get out of the group I toured with first. Whenever something happened, the guide and driver responded quickly and wisely, which made the tour comfortable. If I ever travel to Siem Reap again or if someone I know is going, I will definitely recommend Mony and Mark. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mony and Mark once again. You are the best, Mony and Mark!
a really great day that covered so much. trip looks expensive, but covers everything. the elephants were incredible. we enjoyed each of the stops, and beautiful spot for lovely lunch
Such an amazing experience! The elephant sanctuary is run by a community committed to taking care of the remaining elephants of Angkor Wat. By participating in the tour, you invest in the people taking care of the elephants and the preservation of the sanctuary. Highly recommend this experience, which includes making food for the elephants + feeding them, walking around with them and taking photos with them.
They picked me up right on time at the hotel, and gave me four bottles of cold water during the tour. My guide, Sa, explained everything in detail and took great photos. Lunch was Cambodian style, with fruit also provided, and it was delicious. At the Elephant Forest, I was able to observe elephants up close, feed them, touch them, and splash them with water. The road is quite bumpy, so if you are prone to motion sickness, you should bring motion sickness medicine. I had a lot of fun, so I highly recommend joining the tour!
I recently participated in the Kulen Mountain and Elephant Forest tour. Both activities were highly satisfying and very enjoyable. Since it was the rainy season, I was the only participant, making it feel like a private tour. The guide, Makara, and the driver were both cheerful and easy to talk to, which made the event even more enjoyable. It was a long day, but we mostly traveled by car between destinations, and we were provided with cold towels and water each time we moved, which made it very comfortable. The grilled chicken we had for lunch was incredibly delicious! Being able to see the elephants up close was also a very satisfying experience.
