Brisbane Airport: Shared Transfer to Gold Coast

Avoid the inconvenience of transferring on public transportation (especially since I had two checked bags and a large backpack), and arrive directly at the Gold Coast. I booked a one-way trip from Brisbane to the Gold Coast. Please note that this is not a taxi service, so it won't take you directly to your hotel or other specific destination. When selecting a plan, I chose from four areas, assuming the driver would then take me to my intended hotel. Area 2, "Surfers Paradise/Southport/Main Beach," dropped me off in front of the main entrance of a hotel called "Paradise Resort Gold Coast." I ended up having to walk for over 10 minutes, dragging my suitcase, to the center of Surfers Paradise where my hotel was located. Keep in mind that this is primarily a transportation service from Brisbane to the Gold Coast area.

It's my fault, but I realized I made a mistake with the reservation time due to my flight schedule after the cancellation deadline. I tried to communicate directly via email, but only received one reply. In the end, my cancellation request wasn't received, and I think I inconvenienced others by making the bus wait on the day. I wouldn't recommend this service to people who can't speak English because they won't be able to communicate in case of emergency. For those who can speak English, there's a phone line, so it's probably okay. Ultimately, I used Uber, which cost about 16,000 yen to the airport, so I would recommend Uber if you have three adults and not too much luggage.

We had booked a transfer from our hotel on the Gold Coast to Brisbane Airport. We were in the lobby about 10-15 minutes before our scheduled pickup time, but the bus didn't arrive even after the scheduled time had passed. Concerned, we spoke to the hotel front desk staff, who kindly called the bus company for us. After explaining the situation, we were put on hold for over 5 minutes. The bus company's response was, "We arrived on time, but no one was there, so we left." The front desk staff explained that we had been in the lobby early, even before our checkout time, and we had also been watching the entrance the entire time, but we saw no sign of the bus company. So, it's unclear why this happened. The bus company then arranged an Uber for us, which they said would arrive in about 5 minutes, and it did, which was a relief. We had quite large suitcases, and it was a regular car, so we were worried if our luggage would fit, but it just barely did. Ultimately, our departure was delayed by about 30 minutes from the scheduled time, but fortunately, we had booked an early transfer, and the roads weren't congested, so we made our flight with no issues. We are truly grateful to the Voco Hotel front desk staff for their kind and attentive assistance during a busy checkout time. In contrast, we were astonished by the bus company's incomprehensible excuse that they left because we weren't there, even though we were in a clearly visible spot in the lobby. We were a bit worried because the reviews were about half good and half bad, but we never expected something like this to actually happen. I've written a lot, but it seems there are times when there are no problems, so I'll just consider it bad luck.

I made a reservation the day before, but even on the day of use, the reservation was not confirmed and I was not contacted. Therefore, it was difficult to inform them that the payment had been made but the reservation was not confirmed once we arrived at the location. However, the local people were very kind and supportive, so I am grateful for that. If you wish to use this service, please apply well in advance.

I didn't see the car, and in the end, I paid the bill but received no service.
