Great

Solo stay

Unexpected to have to go through tiny alleyway between 2 buildings to get into hotel part of property before the attached restaurant is open. The hallway to walk up is dated, and I had to go up 3 flights, but once in the room unexpectedly nice. AC, king size bed, Large TV, shower and separate toilet. Just walking up and down all those stairs not recommended if you need to bring up a heavy or a few bags. The staff is only around after 3pm and not there in the morning. So a bit awkward to check out.

This hotel is minimally staffed. If you want to drop your bags prior to check in you need to arrange ahead- we didn’t and were stuck carrying bags for a few hours. Good location, a few cafes just outside the hotel and very close to main shopping streets, not too far from train station. The hotel itself has a cafe but it was closed the day we arrived but if open would be convenient. We did not add breakfast to our stay. Room was small but enough for a short stay and good value for the cost. Because it is an older building retrofit to a hotel the back wall had a shower in the corner (separated from bed by a curtain), a vanity and a water closet. Everything was functional but just a little bit of an odd set up.

Friendly and helpful staff. End rooms were fine, but tight space around entry doors and they do not open all the way and some molding is pealing.

Beautiful, unique property. Great location, absolutely fantastic city and this hotel fit the vibe. Fair warning: semi steep stairs to get to your room.

Few idiots coming in late and talking loudly outside the bedroom doors. No fault of the hotel. Comfortable and great location.

Good

The location of this hotel is wonderful, and the restaurant appears top notch, however we stayed in a very small room on the third floor, with no elevator. It is a very old property without recent renovation. The room was small and had sloped ceilings on two sides, which was not comfortable for my 6’2” companion. The shower stall was right in the room itself, with zero privacy other than a thin cloth screen. The toilet was in its own closet with a door. The floors were linoleum that was at least 40 years old. The view of the city from the window was terrific, and the bed was comfortable, but I don’t think I would recommend this hotel to others. There was very little in terms of front desk support (there literally is no front desk), and no one was available until 3 pm, so we had to store our luggage ourselves in an unattended, multi-purpose room/closet in the second floor. The staff we did run into were very nice, but it wasn’t clear who was restaurant versus hotel staff.,

It was difficult to navigate their system because they do not have staff on the property at all times.

We really enjoyed this hotel. It’s in a great location and the restaurant on the bottom floor was wonderful!
