This was a great hotel with so many special touches that we really appreciated. From the water dispenser in the lobby to the robes and slippers in the room and the chill out areas near the spa. We enjoyed it all. It was very close to Alsetten railway station (3 min walk) which connects you to Zurich city in 2 stations. We had some accessibility needs for our trip and Lorenzo was brilliant. He really helped us a lot. His customer service was exceptional and in fact all the staff we encountered were great. I recommend this hotel and would stay again anytime.

Decided to stay 2 extra nights (that was pre-booked a month earlier) after our rail tour and we kept the same room which was fine but I had to check out in the morning then recheck in each day, why not just extend it in the computer. Then at dinner with the tour group they wouldn’t give us butter for our bread, said management wouldn’t allow it. Then 2 ladies in our group could not eat the dinner that was served due to allergies, so they ordered 2 burgers and had to pay extra, a group of 29 people and they couldn’t comp 2 burgers with fries. Also the hotel controlled the air conditioning so your thermostats couldn’t be adjusted in your room, this was in June during a heat wave, 90 degrees. Last was they were really skimpy on cocktail/wine servings

Habitación muy limpia y cómoda, aunque oscura y calurosa. El staff simplemente hace su trabajo. Lejos de Oldtown, nada que ver en los alrededores. Para conseguir lugares de comida hay que caminar 15 minutos a un sector de locales. Estación del tren a 8 minutos caminando (29 CHF/ $36 USD) pase diario para el sistema de transporte de la ciudad.

During our trip to Switzerland, we stayed twice in Mercure. Facilities are clean and crisp, perfect for our needs, and staff was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended if you need a place close to Zurich without breaking the bank.

We didn't have breakfast. If you are in a comfortable room you do not get a kettle or a safe although the staff did say we could use the coffee machine in the lobby and lockers by reception. Nice spa area though the hot tub was out of use.

My husband and I specifically booked this hotel because it had a hot tub. And it was out of order. I went down to the front desk and told them this and the guy was very nice and said they were so sorry and they would do something to compensate us. They did not. I messaged them on the in room what’s up thing and they ignored me. Very disappointed. Other than that the hotel was fine.

During my time in the SPA area, I experienced an unfortunate incident where my mobile phone was stolen. I noticed it was missing shortly after and immediately contacted the reception to report the situation. The reception team responded promptly and handled the matter efficiently. Thanks to their quick action and support, my mobile phone was successfully recovered. I sincerely appreciate their assistance and professionalism in resolving the issue. However, I would strongly recommend improving the security measures in the SPA area to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future. Enhanced supervision or additional security arrangements would help ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.
