I used a single room for the night and it was more than sufficient! Clean, tidy and a good size! The reception area, lift/stairs and corridors aren’t the prettiest, and we encountered a suspicious person trying to enter the building with us (this was late on a Saturday night), we managed to get in the lift and they were left in reception with no access to rooms etc. Overall a very decent hotel for the price and location. Not the best, not the worst. I strongly recommend following the check in instructions to ensure that you get your room number and access code before arriving, as we did not see any staff to help at the hotel!

Solo stay

Self-service hotel about 6 blocks away from the railroad terminus. Everything is controlled by the code, including the elevator, which may not be a great idea from the security perspective, as the same code also opens your room. The room amenities were good, with a tiny fridge and a microwave, and a little table you can put your laptop on.

For business

I had a very nice stay at Omena Hotel Helsinki Lönnrotinkatu. The hotel uses a code system for everything, which made the experience very convenient and modern. You need a code to enter the hotel, use the elevator, and access your room, which felt secure and easy to use. Customer service was also excellent. Whenever I had a question or issue, I could message them through Expedia and received a reply very quickly. The hotel itself was very clean, and the location was perfect since it is right in the center of the city. The Central Railway Station is within walking distance, and there are many restaurants, shops, and supermarkets nearby, making it very easy to get around and enjoy Helsinki. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable stay, and I would definitely recommend it.
