My 13-year-old son and I really enjoyed our stay at Playa Grande Resort. We stayed in a Junior Suite with a kitchenette, a private balcony, and an ocean view (I believe all of the rooms have balconies with ocean views). The room was clean, spacious, and well maintained throughout our stay.
The staff were always friendly, and very helpful whenever we had questions.
We spent a lot of time by the pool, which had plenty of comfortable lounge chairs, so it was always easy to find a place to relax. Although the beach isn’t swimmable, it’s absolutely beautiful. We loved sitting on the beach, watching the ocean, and enjoying the scenery.
The breakfast was good, with a nice selection of food. After two or three days, we felt it could have used a little more variety, but it was still enjoyable.
The location is another plus. The marina is about a 15- to 30-minute walk, depending on where you’re going. If it’s too hot to walk, a taxi costs around $10–$15. Walmart is about a 30-minute walk (or around a $12 taxi ride), and we even saw other tourists bringing food from Costco. Médano Beach is also about a 30-minute walk, or about a $15 taxi ride if you’d rather not walk in the heat.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and really have nothing to complain about. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cabo San Lucas.
