I can't connect to the internet with the eSIM for Japan I bought on Klook. What should I do?
Set up the APN (Access Point Name) following these instructions:
For "Data per day" plan (Softbank 4G LTE/5G)
- Go to “Settings” and tap "Network & Internet".
- Tap "Mobile Networks" and select your eSIM.
- Scroll down and tap "Advanced".
- Go to “Access Point Names” and tap the APN with the following information. If you can't find it, tap + icon or Add and enter the details. Once done, save and make sure the right APN is selected.
- APN Name: Japan eSIM
- APN: plus.4g
- APN Type: default,ia
- After completing these steps, turn off your eSIM and turn it back on.
For "Data in total" plan (Docomo 4G LTE)
1. Android:
- Go into your “Settings” and tap "Network & Internet".
- Tap "Mobile Networks" and select your eSIM.
- Scroll down and tap "Advanced".
- Go to “Access Point Names” and tap the APN with the following information. If you can't find it, tap + icon or Add and enter the details. Once done, save and make sure the right APN is selected.
- APN Name: Japan eSIM
- APN: vmobile.jp
- After completing these steps, turn off your eSIM and turn it back on.
2. iOS:
- Tap "Cellular" and select your eSIM.
- Select "Mobile Data Network".
- Fill in APN under "Mobile Data" and set "Personal Hotspot" as vmobile.jp
