I can't connect to the internet with the eSIM for Japan I bought on Klook. What should I do?

Set up the APN (Access Point Name) following these instructions:

For "Data per day" plan (Softbank 4G LTE/5G)

  1. Go to “Settings” and tap "Network & Internet".
  2. Tap "Mobile Networks" and select your eSIM.
  3. Scroll down and tap "Advanced".
  4. Go to “Access Point Names” and tap the APN with the following information. If you can't find it, tap + icon or Add and enter the details. Once done, save and make sure the right APN is selected.
  • APN Name: Japan eSIM
  • APN: plus.4g
  • APN Type: default,ia
  1. After completing these steps, turn off your eSIM and turn it back on.

For "Data in total" plan (Docomo 4G LTE)

1. Android:

  • Go into your “Settings” and tap "Network & Internet".
  • Tap "Mobile Networks" and select your eSIM.
  • Scroll down and tap "Advanced".
  • Go to “Access Point Names” and tap the APN with the following information. If you can't find it, tap + icon or Add and enter the details. Once done, save and make sure the right APN is selected.
    • APN Name: Japan eSIM
    • APN: vmobile.jp
  • After completing these steps, turn off your eSIM and turn it back on.

2. iOS:

  • Tap "Cellular" and select your eSIM.
  • Select "Mobile Data Network".
  • Fill in APN under "Mobile Data" and set "Personal Hotspot" as vmobile.jp
