Hallstatt is a charming and picturesque village that feels almost like a postcard brought to life. We visited Hallstatt on a one day tour organised by this tour agency, travelling by bus from Salzburg and back on Christmas Eve. We arrived at around 10.15 am, and just as we stepped off the bus, it began to snow. The gentle snowfall created a magical atmosphere and provided a stunning backdrop to the beautiful streets and lakeside views. The village itself is small and serene, with a main street that is not very long, making it easy to explore on foot. Shops and stalls were just starting to open, adding to the calm and unhurried charm of the morning. As it was a day trip with limited time, we did not manage to visit the salt mine, and the Skywalk was closed during our visit. Instead, we chose to slow down and enjoy the moment by spending some time in a cosy café, soaking in the views and the peaceful winter ambience.

Our day trip to Hallstatt was unforgettable, thanks to Klook's itinerary. From the meeting time and location (Opera House, 7 AM), the guide's explanations were incredibly clear and easy for a layperson to understand, covering the history of Hallstatt, the history and formation of the salt mines, and the story of the Habsburg dynasty. Once we arrived, the guide led us on a tour of the town, patiently reminding everyone of the meeting times and important details, which gave me the fresh feeling of going on a field trip as a child. Thank you again! Of course, the scenery in Hallstatt is also breathtakingly beautiful. I'm so glad I joined this tour, and I highly recommend it!

Kylie was an amazing, informative and very entertaining guide. Lots of behind the scene info and tidbits on the sound of music production. Breathtaking views of Salzburg and surrounding towns dotted the route. The sing-along during the bus ride is also a highlight for all sound of music fans.

Pricilla was an absolutely wonderful guide for our trip to Hallstatt and Salzburg! She was one of the kindest and most knowledgeable guides we’ve had, and she made the entire day such a memorable experience. She shared so much interesting history and insight about both places while always being warm, patient, and genuinely thoughtful. You can tell she truly cares about making the experience special for everyone. She also took beautiful pictures of us on the trip and even printed them out for us, which really made our trip excellent! Nice scenic day trip from Vienna. Bus was comfortable and the guide was very professional. Very much enjoyed the day trip and back in town just in time for dinner!
