What people are saying about Cruises in Queenstown

A lovely morning cruise on the TSS Earnslaw, a must do when in Queenstown. We only did a shorter cruise this time as we had plan for the afternoon but we did visit Walter Peak farm a few years ago. We were pleasantly surprised how well the old steamer has been maintained and even updated since our last visit. The coffee shop and the piano player were a lovely addition!

Had a great day trip to Walter Peak Farm on this Steamship. The whole group enjoyed the outing and the presentation at the farm plus a great lunch. A nice way to spend a day in Queenstown and the whole experience was a pleasure with great scenery and company. This is a really impressive steamship experience. There are about 6 sailing times to choose from so plenty of freedom to pick what’s right for your day. From the wharf, it takes 35 minutes to sail to Beach Bay. The ship is interesting to look round during that time with a small museum, the engine room, a bar with pianist, a saloon, and just places to sit or stand outside on the deck. Our cruise took in a sheep shearing and sheepdog event followed by a brilliant buffet bbq lunch before the return journey. The buffet lodge was set in beautiful gardens in full bloom. A real treat.

We only took the straight cruise back and forth but it was all worth it. Lesser people and more peaceful journey back, better opportunity to appreciate the magnificence of the ship and the views which were just breathtaking. Been to Queenstown a couple of times but this is my first time trying this experience, did not disappoint! Special shout out to the cafe staff on the boat, they were pretty much busy the entire time but never forgot to smile and provide good service. Ben (who was on his second day only) was awesome! Very kind and helpful. :)

TSS Earnslaw was our 1st activity in our Queenstown Itinerary. We booked via klook, paid by credit card, and went to real journeys to verify our booking. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The cruise consists of a 45-minute travel to Walter’s Peak, where we had our buffet dinner at Colonel’s Homestead Restaurant and a farm show where sheep fur was sheared, and talented guard and hunting dogs were showcased. The view was amazing and beautiful. Aside from the mountains and body of waters, I really appreciate the hoards of animals and different kinds of flowers blooming everywhere! TSS Earnslaw Cruise was a nice start to our Queenstown adventures!

it was a wonderful experience from boarding the ship to having a beautiful tour around the farm. The farm was neat and clean, the animals were well adjusted to human presence, and the dogs were perfect at their jobs. The tea was all you need to cap off the afternoon while looking at the picture-perfect view.

Everything is perfect! Remember to go earlier to queue up, we were a bit late and didnt manage to get a good seat in the cruise. Parking space is not easy to find nearby the pier as well. The cruise was very scenic, the BBQ lunch was very tasty with lots of options, didnt have crowd of fighting for food. The farm exploration with the sheep show was a lot of fun too!! Totally worth the money!
