What people are saying about Cruises in Tasmania

The Tasman Island Cruise was one of the best experiences of our Tasmanian Holiday! Breathtaking scenery and interesting wildlife. Skipper and his assistant were very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Weather was perfect but still needed to have plenty of layers on. Highly recommend this trip if you are in Hobart.

Pick up and drop off was at the Pennicott Wilderness office at Constitution Dock. The ride was long but we finally reached Stewart Bay where we had breakfast. The cruise was amazing and we were shown different types of rock formation and even had chance to wait and watch a blowhole. We saw the seals but no sight of the dolphins and whales that day. There was a cluster of sea birds over an area and we were told there must be a lot of food or tuna for the birds. Even spotted a seal in the same area. I felt a bit queasy despite having taken the travel ginger calm tablets. The crew was attentive and assured me that I could raise my hand if I should need to puke. Thankfully, I didn't because I didn't eat much of the muffin for breakfast. Towards the end of the cruise, they offered Tim tams which I gratefully accepted. Lunch was at the same place for breakfast and the selection of food was good. I had fish and chips and they were good. There was also a fire place to warm up in case we felt chilly. After lunch, we visited a chocolate factory, a cafe with lavender products and I had the most wonderful chocolate cookie. The beverage with lavender must be an acquired taste. Barry then drove us to the ticketing area of Port Arthur historic site where there was a shop for us to browse. Soon we picked up those who visited the Tasmanian devil unzoo and we returned to Hobart.

I must say this is a value for money trip. A fantastic experience and is a must take trip in Tasmania. The crews and staff are nice and professional. They know where to stop the boat and gave you the best view of the popular attractions. All the live seafood served are fresh and catched from the sea. The unlimited drinks including wine and champaign are well matched with the seafood. This trip will definitely leave you an unforgetable memory in Tasmania. Highly recommend.

Very well organized tour. There were 3 groups of us, 129 people. Kept us warm, well informed and entertained. From coordinator to driver to guides. Tim, the driver of the boat even threw in unexpected sharp corners to surprise us. We were offered biscuits too, on top of those anti sea sick pills! We saw seals, albatrosses, and lots of dolphins. Great sights of the dolorites, blow hole, Tasman Arch etc. Tim made sure boat was turned around so that EVERYONE in the boat could see the scenic view of item at hand. If the boat was installed with speakers and microphone for the guides, it would be perfect. Must visit when you are in Tasmania
