We traveled via Hải Vân Pass with additional VND100k for the extra distance & paid to the driver. Our guide Ms Vy is very friendly and informative. Tour is in accordance to the itinerary. We don’t really like the lunch. 9 dishes including 2 types of soup and 2 dishes with tofu. I think Ms Vy noticed. On the way back to Da Nang, she bought us bánh lọc huế. It is really delicious. Since we stopped over at Hải Vân Pass, our tour ended around 7pm.

Tour guide was Jacky. Nice and friendly. Explain to us the history of Hoi An. We were picked up from our hotel on time and driver dropped us off at a shop in Hoi An. Waited for about 5 mins for Jacky to arrive. Very responsive Klook staffs because I reached out to them because I do not know how Long we will be waiting at the shop. Jacky bring us to famous banh mi shop and we had the vegetarian version of banh mi and coconut coffee. These are all included in the package. We walked around Hoi An city and Jacky explained about the Japanese bridge and the typical house in Hoi An. We then took a short taxi ride to the coconut boat village. Quite an experience coconut boat ride. I didn’t choose to be spun around which you can. After that we had lunch and it was excellent!

Pickup from hotel was smooth. Tour operator informed us a day before the trip and tour guide William waited for us at the hotel lobby for a while. Still he welcomes us with a smile. All the activities were done as per the itinerary. Vietnamese set lunch was provided which we did not like that much. But, no offence to the food quality or restaurant. On our way returning da nang. Tour guide stopped us in a beautiful place for some photos. To summarize. We enjoyed the natural beauty and heritage of hue city. Highly recommended for others who are interested to visit historical places.

The tour is great. It starts with a delicious breakfast. You can skip your breakfast at hotel. We walk around Hui An in the morning, just few people there in the morning and we can take beautiful pictures. The coconut boat tour is exciting and the lunch is good. Highly recommend to stay until night, Hui An looks so beautiful and charming at night. Our tour guide Jackie is helpful and speaks good English.

The tour operator will send you a WhatsApp the day before the tour confirming the pickup time and the tour guide name. It is a private tour and they use a mini bus meant for 9 for 5 of us. There is no stop at Hai Van Pass per iterniary (transport go via tunnel to save time). So if Hai Van Pass is a must, then tour is not suitable. 2.5 hours to reach the 1st stop without toilet break. Go toilet before boarding the transport as there is only 1 WC at the perfume boat tour. The lunch was good and more than enought for 5 of us. Of the 4 places visited, the last tomb is the most impressive given the grandeur of it.

Hue - Read as Huay 😆. Old capital of Vietnam. Home of the Nguyen Dynasty. 13 kings in total. Felt like I attended a history lesson today. The guide was knowledgeable and shared good history facts and information. He is also keenly aware of current affairs in Vietnam and around the region. Very proud that they memorised the important dates and facts and loved the challenge. Assessment has its place in learning indeed 😉 The tour is like an introduction to Hue. Would love to return again. There’s still so much to learn and see. Felt like I have only scratched the surface.
