What people are saying about Indoor Activities in Tokyo

Such a cute place to visit while in Tokyo. Even the meals served at the food court are adorable (a little bit on the expensive side, but still tasty and cute). It was raining the day we went, however with it being indoors, the weather wasnt an issue. It takes about an hour to get there by train from central Tokyo, and requires a few train change overs depending on where you’re coming from. Any Hello Kitty/Sanrio fan will enjoy visiting this place.

Getting there: A bit far from Tokyo City Center. But, since there’s no traffic, travel time is fast. Took a taxi cab, paid about 14,000 yen from our hotel in Ginza to Puroland. And paid the same amount going back. So, more or less 30,000 yen back and forth via taxi. The Place: Kids will surely love Sanrio Puroland. It has four floors. The main entrance is at the 3rd floor. There’s a restaurant at the 4th floor, but be prepared for long lines of people buying food and wait for tables to become available. Gift shops featuring Sanrio characters available everywhere. Kids will surely enjoy the attractions and activities.

quick/immediate entry to Puroland.. my young daughter and toddler son had a blast with the few rides, games, activities, shows, parade.. the adults had fun shopping.. somehow I expected a big, park-like place.. it was more of a multi-story but compact indoor playplace with an overload of cuteness! you can easily spend the day at ease in this place, and let your kids loose (I wish! not advisable as there were a lot of people!).. over-all, easily a day of kawaii fun - not to be missed when in Tokyo!

This is a must visit place for kids and specially for Hello Kitty fans. It is quite far from central Tokyo though. The place is really full of Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters. If you want to meet and greet and have a photo together with Hello Kitty, go to the "Lady Kitty House". You will need to fall in line though since there are a lot of people who wants to meet Hello Kitty as well. Note that if you want to have a photo together with Hello Kitty, you cannot use your own camera or camera phone. You will need to use the camera of Sanrio Puroland and have the photo printed at the exit. The amount is 1,600 yen but its worth it.

Buy tickets in advance so you don't have to line up and buy on site. Regardless if you're an adult or a child, this place is a must-visit for everyone who loves (and loved!) Sanrio. I thought I'd only spend a few hours here but I ended up spending the entire day at Puroland! Prepare your wallets, you'll see a lot of cute Sanrio stuff and buy them all. Plan ahead, as this is more than an hour away from Tokyo.
