Excellent day adventure out of Yogyakarta. We booked a private tour for 3. We had to transfer from our car to a 4WD jeep on a rocky bumpy ride to Timang Beach. The gondola ride lasted less than a minute. The coastal scenery was beautiful! The river tubing at Pindul Cave was really fun. There were 2 parts: 1st, tubing on the underground Oyo River through Pindul Cave; 2nd, river tubing outdoors stopping at various waterfalls. Bring a change of clothes to get out of your wet clothes once the experience is over. The pine forest affords a great view of the Yogya landscape. Our driver, Tugi drove us safely to the 3 places. He was a great guide. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommend this.
Yogyakarta Jomblang Cave and river tubing experience at Pindul Cave were indescribable experience , you have to feel it by yourself . Jomblang Cave gave the true experience when you hike a cave wearing all the boots and equipment. You can use your phone torchlight or bring a torchlight separately. Pindul Cave you are recommended to bring waterproof camera or you can hire a camera man there who provide unlimited photos and few videos. Swimming 1km plus at the river was fun and tiring .
Our driver Andi, was professional, handling our requests for dinner places with ease. He helped us take photos as well and explained more about Yogyakarta in the trips. He was a friendly driver!
The places were amazing as well, especially Timang Beach! Will highly recommend this tour if you want a good mix of scenery and adventure!
Booked this activity together with my friends. It was a pretty interesting experience. We had a really nice driver who could speak English quite well. He was really friendly and helpful. He even bought for us some vitamins along the way. For Jomblang cave, there were quite a bit of waiting but it wasn’t an issue. Really appreciate the villagers who were there to pull us up (there were probably more than 10!). The Pindul Cave and river tubing experience was quite enjoyable as well. Even though we were just being pulled along, our guide was really interactive and told us about the various landforms around. Would recommend this if you’re in Yogyakarta!
An absolutely unforgettable experience, an adventure of a lifetime that I will always remember. We did this together with my parents and on hindsight, the activity may be too much for them due to the physical demand. Because my parents couldn't keep up with the pace of the group, we were left at the back and had to make our way in pitch black darkness while stepping over slippery stones placed over a ground cover with thick mud. The view at the end of the journey was magnificent, with the light streaming in from above. An amazing sight to behold.
Pick up was prompt and efficient. Recommend to bring along some snacks or light bites as the lunch provided after Jomblang cave may not be to your liking. Option to bring along a shower cap and some wet wipes as well as the safety helmets and harnesses are not really washed before next use. Also, would recommend to wear tops with sleeves and bottoms with knee length minimum. Life jacket provided for river tubing wasn’t really clean and developed rashes from it. Overall, an experience for city dwellers :)
