The Royal Observatory, Greenwich (known as the Old Royal Observatory from 1957 to 1998, when the working Royal Greenwich Observatory, RGO, moved from Greenwich to Herstmonceux) is an observatory situated on a hill in Greenwich Park, overlooking the River Thames. It played a major role in the history of astronomy and navigation, and is best known for the fact that the prime meridian passes through it, and thereby gave its name to Greenwich Mean Time. I bought the ticket to observatory from Klook! just RM50 per person (used up all my Klook! credit then the price went down to RM31 per person 🤫). Frankly speaking, you don’t have to buy the ticket if you want take picture on the Prime Meridian, you actually stand on the line when you are here. Not worth it to pay £15 unless if you passionate about astronomy and earth yes you should go and visit!!! Actually you don’t have to queue for taking photos at prime meridian as mention by the officer yet tourist still queue for taking photos 🤭.#royalobservatorygreenwich #greenwichvillage #greenwich #london #klook #ticket #sightseeing #igers #international #earth

claiming of tickets was fast! it was an amazing experience to finally see the prime meridian! i appreciated more what i studied in uni after seeing it. everything was awesome and informative. there's an audio guide to listen to at every part of the museum, so it was like appreciating the place at your own pace (no need to follow or listen to a tour guide). the mini hike to the observatory was good too, as the view from there was fantastic. it is also accessible, as it is near Maze Hill station. I would definitely go back!

Do note that if we purchase the tickets from klook, we do not need to show printout to collect the tickets. I was told by the staff to send my eticket to their email for printing but the location had really bad reception so i didnt manage to do so. After talking to the manager, i was then told that i do not need to email if i had purchase from klook by then i had already wasted 20 minutes. The museum was really interesting aside from the ticket collection trouble. The tickets also come together with an audio guide. There was also an upslope to this location so if you are travelling with luggages, you may have some trouble going up or you can take the wheelchair access route which will take an extra 11minutes.
