My family loved it!There were so many sea creatures on display. It made us appreciate all these life forms under the sea water and fresh water as well as the reptiles and amphibians. Very educational for the kids. The map was very useful for finding our way.Overall a great experience for the family!
The Kuranda scenic railway journey was such a lovely experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the train, the views, the commentary of stories about the history, the amazing waterfalls and bridges on the way. We also appreciated meeting and chatting to those that we sat near. It is a great experience, a lovely day out, with many things to see and do at Kuranda for the whole family.
Highly recommended day trip that goes on a historic train to Karunda area. Takes two hours to get there from the Cairns train station which is located behind the Cairns Central shopping centre. Once you book, you need to get a physical ticket from the train station booth. Nice relaxing trip, bring water and snacks with you. Easily spend two to three hours in Karunda at the many markets there.
Had a great family experience getting up and close with a lot of the animals, especially the koalas. We have been to many wildlife habitats and found this to be one of the best if you are after a personal experience and being able to get so close to them. We didn’t get to view all the enclosures or shows as the kids were getting too hot and wanted to head back for a swim at our resort. However the ability to return for a complementary visit meant you weren’t pressed to try and complete everything in your first visit. Staff were all very friendly and pleasant and we had no issues when using our voucher. We also paid $15 for a croc feeding experience (Fresh water croc) which the kids enjoyed as well.
The experience was really great. The train starts from Cairns Central Railway station and it slowly but steadily leads you inside the rainforest. You can see the history of rail built by many people and also take a cool view of outside. The waterfall stop of 10 mins is also really good. A very good way to reach kuranda from cairns. We went by train to kuranda and got back to cairns by ropeway so that we can have both the experience.
purchased the wildlife habitat private tour. best tour ever. price included 2 hours with private keeper behind the scene to the wildlife refuge area and held and fed wallaby, kangaroo...Also had private time for free photo with koala. even included lunch. this was the closest encounter to wildlife during our 2 weeks trip to Australia. best money spent and was cheaper than purchase onsite.
