Really a sight to behold, an absolute stunning day to do this trip. The waterfalls, the sheer cliffs, the wildness of this part of the world was just spectacular. Very reasonable you priced and well worth every cent. I think every NZer should see this wonder of the world, should be compulsory. AAA+
Supposed to drive there but due to road repair along the way, only tour operator can drive through, hence took up this day tour with lunch. Relaxed trip with ample time given onboard the cruise. Though a rainy day, view was still wonderful, and cruise went near a gigantic waterfall allowing all to see it up close, what a fabulous experience! Can see a seal resting on a rock. It's better to be prepared with poncho, waterproof shoes and light bag.
much recommended one day tour when you're in Queenstown. very comfortable coach and driver is very friendly and humourous. Several stops along the way which gives us very relaxing 4 hour journey.. the only thing need to improve on pick up details I had approaches almost 10 buses at the pick up point to finally found our bus. no bus detail nor operator details will be given, your name will be called by bus driver at the pick up point.
The boat tour was great but the shuttle drive with our guide Eric was definitely the highlight of our journey. He was incredibly knowledgeable and witty and made the day most enjoyable.
The day started off quite rainy and the first two bus drivers told us they didn’t have our names and we could wait for the next 3 buses, it was a bit unsettling. Thank goodness we found Eric, a true gem in your company.
It rained when we went so we got multiple waterfalls which was nice. Bring a raincoat, warm clothes and a waterproof bag if you’re going during spring/autumn/winter so that you’ll be okay with standing out in the rain and experience everything outdoors. They also let you get wet from a waterfall. It was a sunny ride back so everything looked gorgeous after the rain. Our guide Eric was also accommodative and informative. Would definitely recommend.
pick up was easy at YHA Queenstown Lakeside. driver's commentary was great. very knowledgeable, gave lots of facts. the Japanese guide was also very helpful in gathering the group. both of them had pleasant smiles.
we took JUCY's cruise catamaran to Milford Sound. the captain was very entertaining & because of this, we had lots of fun! especially getting glacier facials!! lunch buffet on the catamaran was asian food. overall package was reasonably priced
