Indoor and outdoor performances showcasing the best of local and international jazz and world music

Freespace Jazz Fest returns this October with a stellar lineup and non-stop programme of great sounds.

Highlight international acts include genre-defying legend, pianist, composer and bandleader Herbie Hancock, Grammy award-winning composer and percussionist Antonio Sánchez, young Bali-born pianist Joey Alexander, as well as a European double bill featuring the Ariel Bart Trio and Rémi Panossian Trio.

Representing Hong Kong’s homegrown talent, are pianist Ted Lo – The Godfather of Hong Kong jazz – who opens the festival with young local artists Nelson Fung and Dean Li, as well as a big-band, jazz and rock collaboration between two local favourites, pianist Patrick Lui and his jazz orchestra and Cantopop heroes RubberBand.

The festival takes place across multiple indoor and outdoor stages at Wonderland, Freespace, Lau Bak Livehouse, M+ and the Art Park. Alongside highlight ticketed performances, you can also enjoy a free outdoor programme of music from around the world, hands-on workshops, a bigger than ever gourmet food and beverages market, and much more. Don’t miss out, bring your family and friends and soak up the best of local and international jazz!
