I had a very wonderful day in Catania Italy. the internet is very fast and very accessible. very easy to use. we even went to the mountain. i was telling my self maybe i will not have an internet connection on the top but still, theres a connection. thank you klook for the wonderful service and very fast internet. i really had fun in Italy. i will repurchase again.

From Austria to Hungary to the Czech Republic and Germany, the connectivity was superb. Perhaps it’s because the infrastructure runs deeper beneath the mountains, and in more rural areas the connection occasionally dipped. Other than that, the experience has been excellent.

Internet connectivity within the city was generally good, though there were occasional dropouts in certain areas. However, the connection became noticeably weak underground and inside some shops, where it was sometimes impossible to load payment apps. As a result, I had to rely on a physical credit card instead. This appears to be due to antenna coverage limitations rather than any fault of Klook themselves.

How can I activate the eSIM directly from the Klook app?

  • Tap the “Activate” button and wait for the eSIM to get activated.
  • After activation, make sure the eSIM is installed on your device. You can check it from Settings > Cellular > SIMs.
  • You can name the eSIM in Settings > Cellular > eSIM > Cellular Plan Label.
  • Note: Be careful not to turn on the data roaming before arriving at your destination!
  • After arriving at the destination, please turn on eSIM data roaming and switch the cellular plan to this eSIM card to connect to the network.

How can I activate the eSIM with a QR code?

You can find the QR code from the booking details on the Klook app or on your Klook account.

The QR code should be visible next to the "Activate" button if your device is compatible with the eSIM and the eSIM plan. If not, you can scan the QR code with a device that is eSIM compatible by following these steps:

iOS

  1. Settings > Cellular or Mobile data > Add Cellular Plan > Scan the QR code
  2. Name the eSIM at your convenience from the "Cellular Plan Label."
  3. Do not turn on data roaming until you arrive at your destination

Android

Network & Internet > SIMs > Add Cellular Plan

The eSIM didn't get activated on my device. What should I do?

Check if your device is locked to a carrier, as eSIMs can't be activated on locked devices. Please contact your carrier for more information.

Can I scan one QR code with multiple devices?

No. You can use the eSIM only on one device. As such, one QR code can't be used multiple times or on multiple devices. Make sure to scan the QR code and activate the eSIM on the device you intend to use it on.

Should I turn on data roaming when I'm using the eSIM?

Yes. Make sure to turn on data roaming after you arrive at your destination. You can toggle it on from the eSIM settings.

An error occurred while I was installing the eSIM. What should I do?

The solutions depend on the error message you saw:

  • Cellular Plans from This Carrier Cannot Be Added:

Your device might be locked to a specific carrier. Please double-check from Settings > General > About > Carrier Lock. It should say "No SIM restrictions." If that's not the case, contact your original carrier to unlock the restrictions of your device.

  • Unable to Complete Cellular Plan Change:

It might be because too many eSIMs are installed on the device. Please double-check if your device has reached the maximum eSIM capacity, which eSIM service is on it, and try removing one of the unnecessary eSIMs.

Please make sure to turn on the mobile data on your device.

Please make sure that the eSIM plan hasn't been installed on another device.

Please make sure you have a stable connection while you're installing the eSIM.
