With the success of the creative and out of this world food experiences in previous years, this year Vivid Sydney has introduced a whole new pillar - Vivid Food! There's something for everyone’s taste, from world class hatted chefs and boujee dining to immersive experiences and pop ups with incredible food and drink menus.
1. Vivid Residence
Vivid Residence is one of the food highlights this year at Vivid Sydney and an unmissable new Vivid Food experience. The festival is bringing world-renowned chef Daniel Humm of Eleven Madison Park, Manhattan, to the iconic Aria Restaurant Sydney.
Over two weeks, Humm will bring his famed approach to plant-based dining to the culinary capital of Australia, showcasing the diverse flavours, processes and ingredients that capture the essence of NSW.
Humm’s team will work alongside Matt Moran and team to create a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience set against the backdrop of Vivid Sydney's breathtaking Light Walk.

2. Vivid Sydney Dinner
This was a crowd favourite last year and sold out! An amazing, immersive experience fusing light, music, and cuisine in a very special feast for the senses.
It wouldn't be the Vivid Sydney Dinner without immersive lighting to see your meal in a new light, and for this year’s event, the ivy Ballroom is transforming into nature's playhouse.
Headlined by chefs Ben Greeno and Danielle Alvarez and hosted by Eddie Perfect with performances by Montaigne, Christine Anu and more, it's the perfect Vivid Sydney fusion of music, art, nature and food.
3. Play With Your Dinner at Chin Chin
One experience you won't want to miss is Play With Your Dinner! One of the best restaurants in the city, Chin Chin, will host one of the more unique food experiences where everything is art and (almost) everything is edible.
Enjoy a four-course menu with the perfect complement of a 'watercolour' painting session using chilli oil, beetroot sauce and more ingredients from your dishes, perfect on your palette and plate. So you get a great dinner, hands on fun and get to take home your very unique canvas.

4. Vivid Chef Series
Get ready to taste some seriously delicious dishes as the Vivid Chef Series hits Sydney's restaurant scene! This awesome new culinary adventure brings together top-notch chefs from around the world with some of Sydney's most iconic restaurants and local chefs for a series of one-of-a-kind dinners.
The best part? They're all about celebrating the amazing variety and quality of ingredients from New South Wales, as well as the skills of local producers. It's going to be a feast for the senses!
The Vivid Chef Series includes:
- Fred's x Jackson Boxer (4 June - 7 June, tickets from $125pp) - London's coolest chef, Jackson Boxer, is teaming up with Hussein Sarhan from the famous Fred's restaurant for a series of dinners that give us a glimpse into the future of food, all while highlighting the delicious flavours of NSW and the amazing produce of Australia.
- Yellow x Rishi Naleendra (6 June - 9 June, tickets from $160pp) - Rishi Naleendra, the genius behind Singapore's Michelin-starred Cloudstreet, teams up with his former mentor Brent Savage and the Yellow team for an epic menu that blends Rishi's Sri Lankan culinary roots with Brent's innovative plant-based approach.
- Kiln x Jeremy Fox (13 - 14 June, tickets from $150pp) - Don't miss this mouth-watering collaboration between Mitch Orr from Kiln (the new Good Food Guide 2023 winner) and Jeremy Fox from LA's Rustic Canyon and Birdie G's, as they come together for a series of dinners that blend Jeremy's eastern European heritage with Mitch's signature "Italian-ish" cuisine with an Asian twist, all while celebrating the beauty of simplicity and using only the freshest, seasonal ingredients.
- Bar Morris x Mmabatho Molefe (14 June - 17 June, tickets from $160pp) - Mmabatho Molefe - the leader in Zulu and Nguni cuisine - is teaming up with the Head Chef of Bar Morris for a one-of-a-kind culinary experience that brings together three continents' worth of flavours and cultures for a meal you won't soon forget.
5. Light Up Your Senses at The Pylon
If the fancy meal is too rich for your taste, Sydney Harbour Bridge’s South-East Pylon will be open to the public for the first time during the Vivid Sydney, from Thursday to Sunday night.
Indulge with a red wine paired with a cheese box as you look across the Sydney Harbour, with DJs providing the perfect soundtrack.

6. Vivid Fire Kitchen
Vivid Fire Kitchen is bound to be a crowd favourite with 3 weeks of flame fuelled festivities and bespoke drinks on offer. From international pitmasters cooking up a storm on the barbecue, to well-known street food trucks and pop-up restaurants, there is something for everyone at Vivid Fire Kitchen.
Grab a spot by the fire pit to watch your exclusive dishes cooking on the flame. Or if you want to join in and learn something... head to the live fire demo to become a BBQ master!

7. House of Naturalia
Inspired by Vivid Sydney's 'Naturally' theme, Barangaroo House is transforming into the 'House of Naturalia' where the natural world reclaims our urban environment.
Think sustainable cocktails, a custom menu by Tara Chua centred on the natural world, and projections that will blow your mind.
At Rekodo Restaurant & Vinyl Bar, a line-up of renowned DJs will hold down the decks every Thursday night. Meanwhile upstairs at Smoke Rooftop Bar, a custom cocktail menu will see would-be discarded ingredients transform into the stars of delicious drinks, perfect for sipping while taking in the view of Vivid Sydney.

8. 6HEAD: The Vivid Experience
One of the best-known steak restaurants in Sydney is bringing back their multi-sensory dining to Vivid Sydney.
6HEAD will transform with immersive light- and sound-scapes over two of the restaurant's dining rooms – one dedicated to NSW's coast and blue seas, and the other to the bushlands and forests.
Spend your evening indulging in the best NSW and the Southern Hemisphere has to offer whilst overlooking the kaleidoscope of colour across the city.

9. HERE NOW
This exclusive one day only day-to-night festival HERE NOW is a celebration of Australian culture and life in the heart of Sydney CBD. Presented by Mary’s and co-curated by drinks journalist and P&V Wine and Liquor Merchants co-founder Mike Bennie and farmer and restaurateur Palisa Anderson, the mini festival offers incredible food and wine together with free live music.
For its inaugural party, HERE NOW invites you to join cult favourites and emerging artists in food, wine and art to eat, drink, and dance.

10. Carriageworks Night Market
For one-night-only, the Carriageworks Night Market will showcase more than 50 of Sydney's leading restaurants, bars and producers.

11. Vivid Festival 3 Course Fine Dining Dinner Cruise
Take to the seas and cruise the iconic Sydney Harbour during Vivid Sydney. Watch the sunset before the city is lit up in beautiful colours over an indulgent 3 course dinner with drinks included.
12. Street food stalls at Circular Quay
Located between the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia and Cruise Bar at The Rocks, the ever-popular street food stalls are back!
With every type of food you could want, at an iconic location as you stroll the Vivid Light Walk. Serving a range of yummy foods including deep-fried ice cream, corn dogs, chips on a stick, light-up bubble tea and glow in the dark fairy floss!
With so much to choose from, this is the place to go for a quick bite and harbour views.
