    Instead of the usual suspects, go on a cultural experience at the Sri Venkateswara Temple, Australia's first Hindu Temple.From the get-go, you’ll be struckby the incredible Hindu architecture and the splash of white  that stands out from the bushland. Before you visit, make sure to reserve your spot.

    Stop and smell the roses at Wollongong Botanic Garden. Spend time at the Rose Garden to see the vibrant flowers, and visit the Succulent Collection to get a glimpse of plants from Africa and the Americas. Bring some snacks and drinks with you to enjoy a picnic at the grounds.

    If you want to get a great picture of the Wollongong Harbour, one of the best things to do in Wollongong is head to the Wollongong Head Lighthouse. Soak in the unobstructed panoramic views of the coastline and surrounding areas. There’s also a range of excellent cafes and restaurants nearby so you can dine with a view.

    Located off Grand Pacific Drive in a picturesque place beneath the cliff, Stanwell Park Beach is well worth a visit no matter the time of year. In warmer months, the water is excellent for  and even snorkelling and surfing. There is a wide reserve with lots of room to run about, as well as BBQ facilities, making it an ideal location for picnics during the colder months.

    Sea Cliff Bridge has been a favourite of photographers ever since it opened in 2005. Boasting uninterrupted views of the Grand Pacific Drive, it’s become one of the most photographed bridges in the state. Plan your visit during sunrise or sunset for a picture-perfect view, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot migrating whales out in the water.

Did you know Nan Tien Temple is the the largest Buddhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere?  During your visit, you’ll learn about the traditions of Buddhism and you’ll even get the chance to participate in cultural activities like origami and Tai Chi for the ultimate immersive experience.

Symbio Wildlife Park has one of the best collections of animals, from cuddly Aussie creatures like wallabies, kangaroos, and koalas to more exotic ones like red pandas, pythons, and cheetahs.
