    An hour and a half drive away from Sydney, Kiama is a fantastic choice for day trips and weekend breaks for solo travellers and big families who want a change of scenery.
    It’s (deservedly) famous for the blowhole, but there’s more to Kiama than the famed rock formation. From the paradise-like Bonaira Native Gardens to stunning rock pools, endless adventures are just waiting to be discovered.

    Without a doubt, one of the best things to do in Kiama is to visit the iconic blowhole, the largest of its kind in the world. Thanks to ocean swells, water is blown more than 20 metres up in the air. The bad news is it doesn’t always happen. On the bright side, there is the nearby Little Blowhole, where spouts are much more common.

    Calling all hiking enthusiasts! Kiama has one of the most picturesque walks in Australia, and it’s filled with views of gorgeous beaches, stunning rock formations, and well-preserved waterways. The Kiama Coast Walk is 20 kilometres long with some challenging paths, but it’s divided into three sections, making it easier for beginners.

    Can’t pick between swimming on the beach or pool? Go for a dip at the Kiama rock pools! The town boasts four scenic ocean pools, perfect for cooling off on a hot summer day.
