    The Original Onsen experience lets you enjoy a Japanese bathing tradition with a kiwi twist. Enjoy a 60-minute warm soak inside one of its 14 cedar-lined hot tubs that can accommodate up to four people! While the Original Onsen is indoors, the pool rooms have a retractable roof, so you can switch up to an outdoor experience at the push of a button!

    Both soak experiences are entirely for exclusive use, and you’ll have the pool room all to yourself. All of its hot tubs use pure water from surrounding mountains and are heated to 38.5 degrees Celsius, the optimal temperature for the best R&R experience!

    How do I get to Onsen Hot Pools?

    It’s only a short 10-minute scenic drive to get to Onsen Hot Pools from Queenstown (13, if you’re coming from Arrowtown!). 
    If you don’t want to self-drive, a shuttle bus service is available from Queenstown at Bus Stop D, corner of Camp St. and Shotover St. The bus departs every 30 minutes past the hour, and the last shuttle departs from Onsen Hot Pools by 11:15 pm. 

    What do I need to bring to Onsen Hot Pools?

    You may bring your own swimsuit, or rent one from the reception. Towels are also included for all experiences, so there’s no need to pack anything for your visit to Onsen Hot Pools.
