What is Mayfield?
Owned by the Hawkins Family, Mayfield was first built in 1984 as a sheep farm. Over time, the land was transformed into one of the largest cool climate gardens in the world, as inspired by the gardens in Europe. Mayfield first opened its doors to visitors in 2008, and received overwhelming praise for what the gardens had accomplished.
Today, Mayfield Gardens are open 363 days a year, and have expanded to also make the Hawkins’ Family Garden available for visitors for 16 days, four times a year. Located just two hours away from Sydney, the gardens are a go-to paradise for tourists and locals looking for something extraordinary.
As one of their seasonal activities, they are currently offering a Mayfield Gardens glamping experience for the summer. Spend a night stargazing before going to bed in a decked out tent, complete with plush mattresses and linens. Availing glampers get exclusive night-time and early-morning access to the garden as a bonus to their scrumptious outdoor dinner and refreshing sunrise breakfast.
