Picture Perfect Jacaranda Spots around Sydney

Welcome to that time of year when the flowers form Jacarandas in Sydney are in full bloom and paint the skies and streets a lovely shade of purple! We have included some activities that you can do a stone's throw away before or after your Jacaranda photo op. Now have your itinerary ready and bring out your best spring OOTD from your closet!

1.Jacaranda Tree Tunnel in the North Shore

Let’s start the list with the sought-after Jacaranda tree tunnel at Milson Park, McDougall Street in Kirribili. It is famous for the canopy that paints the skies purple with streets that look carpeted while covered with Jacaranda’s leaves. Take a stroll in this street and after getting your winning shot, you might want to visit Sydney’s iconic amusement park, Luna Park. This is only a 10-15 minute walk from McDougall Street. You can take adrenaline pumping rides or simply opt for a relaxing Ferris Wheel ride.

    2. City Stroll with Jacarandas by Circular Quay

If you’re in the city, you can stroll down Circular Quay where you can snap a shot of the Jacarandas with the Harbour Bridge peeking in the background. A good way to end this stroll is by having a private boutique picnic at Royal Botanic Gardens. Grazing boards would definitely be a filling treat.

However, there won’t be a festival this year- due to the pandemic - but the trees will surely still be around! Since you are already in Grafton you can also explore the serene waters of Clarence river. You can spend the afternoon sailing, kayaking or if fishing is your thing then this can be the perfect post-Jacaranda activity.
