Have you picked out your Halloween costume yet?
In South Korea, Halloween is a relatively new holiday. You won't see as many homes decked in spooky decor or kids knocking on doors to trick or treat. However, the celebration is quickly gaining popularity as more people realize how much fun it can be, with most of the action taking place in districts like Itaewon.
October 31 is the time of year when kids and adults alike get themselves into the most creative Halloween costumes. It's also a time for horror-themed events to start creeping up left and right. Here's how you can celebrate this peculiar night in South Korea.
1. Dark Side of Seoul Ghost Walking Tour
The Dark Side of Seoul is not your typical walking tour in the sense that it brings the country’s dark history and folklore to life. Journey through the off-beaten path as you’re retold stories of murders, hideaways, and deadly ghosts. Some of the sites you’ll visit include a haunted neighborhood and an eerie bridge, which make it the perfect itinerary for a Halloween in Korea.

The colorful carnival decorations and wacky masks make up for the lack of jack-o-lanterns.
