How long will I be travelling?
Another important point to consider when booking your Eurail Pass is time, and how long your planned Europe vacation is. Although the different passes allow unlimited train travel, there’s a time limit on its validity: from a consecutive 10-day Eurail Pass to a flexible 3-month Eurail Pass:
    • Consecutive Pass - Enjoy unlimited train travel every day within the pass validity period. Select from 10 days to 3 months straight, and climb aboard the rails! This pass gives go-getters a run for their money by letting you travel consecutively, from day 1 to 60.
    • Flexible Pass- If your itinerary has certain stops where you need to stay for a few days, the flexible pass is much more worthwhile as there’s a certain amount of times you can enjoy free rides within its validity period. For example, 15 days of train travel within 2 months. All One Country Pass is a flexible pass.

    • A First Class Eurail Pass comes with adjustable seats, extra legroom, wide tables, electric outlets, Wi-Fi, and cabin service to make your overnight ride a much more comfortable experience.
    • While a Second Class Eurail Pass nails down all the basics from modern seats, luggage racks, multi-functional tables, and a restaurant and bistro car to have your fill.
When is the best time to book my Eurail Pass?
The great thing about these passes is that they’re all about convenience! You can buy your Eurail Pass early and activate it right away, or save it for later. Eurail Passes are valid up to 11 months after the purchase date.
Still, if you want to plan ahead, our tip is to book it early (at least 3 months before your trip)! Because while the passes allow for unlimited travels, you’ll still need to reserve your seats for every ride.
