    You've probably seen it across your social feeds all weekend - Dalgona Coffee is a coffee trend that people are currently going just a little bit crazy over on Tiktok. If you’re wondering what a Dalgona Coffee is, it's originally from South Korea and it basically is frothed coffee and chilled milk!
    Dalgona is a popular Korean street candy similar to toffee or honeycomb but its caffeinated version is what has been trending across social media platforms- which you can easily replicate with only three ingredients: instant coffee, sugar, and milk.     The Original Dalgona Coffee Recipe (South Korea-Inspired)

    For the O.G Dalgona Coffee - here are the THREE simple steps:
    What You Will Need: 
    • 2 tbsp of instant coffee powder
    • 2 tbsp white sugar
    • 2 tbsp hot water
    • Milk 
    • Ice
    How To Do It: 
    1. Combine instant coffee, sugar, and hot water and whisk until light and fluffy.
    2. Pour the mixture into a glass of milk and ice.

    This one's for the matcha lovers out there! This Dalgona coffee recipe will take you from your home to a third-wave coffee shop tucked in the busy streets of Shibuya. While this recipe might seem a little more complicated, it’s definitely worth your effort:
    What You Will Need: 
    • 1 tsp matcha powder
    • 1 egg white
    • ¼ cup white sugar
    • ¼ cup water
    • Milk 
    • Ice
    How To Do It:
    1. Beat the egg white until it becomes frothy then fluffy. You can use an electric mixer to achieve this faster. 
    2. Combine the water and white sugar and put on low heat. Let the syrup simmer for 5 minutes without stirring. 
    3. Slowly drizzle the syrup into the beaten egg white while mixing until the mixture turns fluffy and glossy.
    4. Add the matcha powder into the mixture until blended and smooth.
    5. Pour your matcha mixture into a glass of milk and ice.
