    Is Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures Park open?

    Yes! You can drop by Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures Park any day from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Just make sure you comply with their COVID Safe Plan, which means there are capacity limits at wildlife presentations, animal encounters, and other park facilities. Social distancing and frequent handwashing are highly encouraged.

    How to get there?

    If you’re driving to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures Park, we suggest you plan an itinerary to get the most out of your Tropical North Queensland trip. If you’re coming from Cairns, you can visit Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures Park alongside other Cairns attractions such as the Australian Armour and Artillery Museum, Cairns Wake Park, and Cairns Wake Park. 
    From Port Douglas, you can visit Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures Park in the morning, then continue your drive north to visit the Flagstaff Hill lookout and Gorge National Park.
    Unfortunately, public transport is not available going to Hartley’s, but there are tons of shuttle services and tours that take you to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures Park. If you want to have the ultimate day tour experience, you can book a Port Douglas Day Tour from Cairns on Klook!

    What to wear?

    An incredible day awaits you inside this award-winning crocodile farm. Venture into different park regions and go on a journey of discovering more about our favourite reptilian predator: the crocodile! While inside Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures Park, you can also meet and greet other local wildlife of the North, such as lizards, cassowaries, and different kinds of amphibians!

    The #1 spot for the best croc action inside this park is at Hartley’s Lagoon. On a 25-minute boat cruise, you can observe crocodiles in their coastal melaleuca wetland habitat while riding specially designed boats that keep you safe.

    Learn why cassowaries are now considered endangered species and how important they are when you drop by Cassowary Walk. Afterwards, head to the Predatory Bird Aviary to meet splendid owls and kookaburras.

    If you can’t get enough of seeing crocs, stroll along the Wildlife Discovery Trail to see estuarine and the indigenous freshwater crocodiles! You can also visit the walk-through bird aviary and the Gallery of Living Art to see an amazing showcase of both native and international species of kaleidoscopic snakes, lizards, and amphibians!

    Finally, Gondwana Gateway, Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures Park’s newest attraction, lets you in on Australia’s magnificent evolution process. The park teaches you why its animals are so intriguing and different from other fauna around the world.
    Aside from its different regions, Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures Park has several exceptional wildlife encounters you can choose from. You can either spend your morning having breakfast with koalas, feed a giant crocodile, pat a wombat, or get up close with a baby python!
