    In short, yes! After two long years, the Formula 1 Grand Prix is finally back in Australia. The much-awaited event marks the return of one of the most prestigious racing competitions and biggest international events in Melbourne. Once again, fans can root for their favourite drivers and see newly-designed cars live in action. Not to mention that it’s also Aussie legend Daniel Ricciardo’s first race under McLaren on home soil.

    F1 Australia will start on the 7th of April and end on the 10th of April 2022.
    On the first day, fans have the chance to get up close and personal with the cars and teams as they prepare for the big race, thanks to the Pit Lane Walk. The following day you can see the drivers practise and go around the gorgeous track in Albert Park Circuit. Qualifying takes place on the third day, which will determine the starting order for the big race. The fourth and final day is the championship race where you’ll see the winner cross the line and see the podium finish in person!

    You can get a ticket to the Australian Grand Prix for as low as $36 which grants you access to the park on the first day of the event. If you want the best seats in the house for the entire Formula 1 weekend, expect to shell out around $600. You can also buy a single day pass for the championship race for $266.
    As one of the most anticipated Melbourne events, tickets to the big race are selling fast. You can buy your pass at the official Melbourne Grand Prix website.

    Thanks to Melbourne’s great public transport network, travel to the Albert Park Circuit is quick and easy. Plus, if you show your F1 Australia ticket for the day, you can enjoy free access to the tram on the way to the circuit.

    Take tram route 96 or tram route 16 to the park.
    • From South Melbourne
    Take tram route 12.
    • From Melbourne CBD
    Take the Light Rail GP Express to Gates 1 and 2 or the Clarendon Street GP Express for Gate 3.

    The Australian Grand Prix has a Kids Go Free program, which means each adult General Admission ticket can provide free access for up to four juniors aged 14 years old and below.
    Accessible seating is available in all categories of tickets, from hospitality and grandstands to unreserved general admission.
    Like all Melbourne events, the Australian F1 has a COVID-Safe plan in place. As one of the precautions, the event will be cashless and entry may be denied to unvaccinated visitors.
