HOW TO GET TO TAIWAN
By Plane
There are multiple airlines that offer flights from Manila to Taipei on a day-to-day basis. For budget options, Cebu Pacific and AirAsia usually hold seat sales, so be sure to watch out for their next sale to book your quick getaway to Taiwan!
As of 2 July 2019, Philippine passport holders do not need a visa to travel to Taiwan until 31 July 2020.

Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall
Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall is a must-visit attraction for all first-timers. Not only do you get to explore the historical exhibits inside the halls, but a walk around the memorial grounds and gardens makes for amazing photos.

Taipei 101 at Night
If there’s one Taipei attraction that you can’t miss, it’s Taipei 101. Though equally stunning during the daytime, visiting at night offers dazzling panoramic views of Taipei from the 89th floor. Afterwards, reward yourself with a scrumptious dinner at Din Tai Fung to celebrate a jam-packed first day!
Day 2: JIUFEN DAY TRIP + SHILIN NIGHT MARKET
Jiufen
Forty minutes out of Taipei, you’ll arrive at the scenic town of Jiufen. This idyllic hilltop location is steeped in culture and history, seen through its maze of food stalls, lantern-lined streets and the excessive amount of teahouses.
Jiufen Amei Teahouse
Whether or not you’re a fan of Spirited Away, a quick tea date at the Jiufen Amei Teahouse is one you’ll surely enjoy. The Amei Teahouse is seen on many Taiwan postcards and you’ve probably come across it on your Instagram feeds once before, so after taking a quick snap - pop in and order some traditional tea!
Shifen Old Street
End your day trip on a romantic note at Shifen Old Street. Though crowded with tourists, the Shifen Lantern activity is something you absolutely cannot pass up! Purchase your lantern of choice and together with your significant other, write down your wishes and prayers - be it for yourself, family, or for each other. Before you lift it up to the sky, be sure to take a couple photos to look back on!
Shilin Night Market
Night markets are a big thing in Taipei - and the best one is said to be Shilin Night Market. Don’t worry too much about going early; night markets in Taipei are open until the wee hours of the morning. March through rows of food stalls and clothing racks for hours and be sure to leave with a loot! Must-try food include Stinky Tofu, Chicken Cutlets and Castella Cakes!
Day 3: FORMOSAN ABORIGINAL DAY TRIP + COUPLES MASSAGE
Formosan Aboriginal Cultural Village Tour
From January to April, multiple parts of Taiwan are beaming with bright pink cherry blossom trees. One of these areas includes the Formosan Aboriginal Cultural Village - a popular sakura district two and a half hours from the city. Though quite a way from Taipei, it offers one of the best Spring experiences in the country.
Sun Moon Lake
Just thirty minutes from Formosan Aboriginal Cultural Village is yet another stunning location - Sun Moon Lake. A quick walk around in this scenic space will make you feel like you’re worlds away from Taipei with its refreshing mountainous landscapes.
