Found in the heart of Clarke Quay, the Old Hill Street Police Station was constructed during Singapore’s time as a British colony and served as its first jail.
The building’s architecture was heavily inspired by what was popular in England at the time and served as a police station until 1981. Today, the building’s brightly coloured rainbow windows and walls attract Instagrammers from all over the world with its combination of classic architecture. Probably the only police stations in the world that serve as tourist attractions.

On the edge of Fort Canning Park, the Fort Canning Tree Tunnel is one of the tourist attractions that consists of a unique staircase that spirals up a tunnel to allow visitors to be greeted by a beautiful sight of green trees and silhouettes against the staircase wall. The insta-famous tree is known as the Yellow Rain Tree and can grow up to 30 metres in height.
The park is a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city but make sure to try and get there early (before 9 am) as queues start to form to take that amazing shot!
