Grand Pioneers 2D1N Cruise: Ha Long Bay & Sung Sot

We loved everything about this cruise and would highly recommend it to our friends and family! It was our first time in Vietnam and the hospitality from the cruise staff was amazing! Special shout to Alice and Louis for taking care of us during this trip! The room was clean, modern and had all the amenities. Food was always amazing and the excursions and activities were top notch as well! Do not hesitate to book a cruise to Halong Bay with Grand Pioneers!

Beautiful boat, great crew and delicious food. you can take the excursions or stay and enjoy the amenities on the boat. The pool was beautiful but I didn’t take the time to actually use it on this trip. I would definitely book with them again in the future.

It was a beautiful day, so we were able to enjoy the ideal scenery! The room was also clean and comfortable. If you want to enhance the experience, you might consider bringing your own drinks to enjoy with the view. One thing that concerned me was that I had booked with Grand Pioneers, but without any prior notification of a change, my reservation was switched to a company called Calista Cruises. Klook allows direct bookings for both companies, and their prices differ. I wasn't offered a refund for the price difference until I pointed it out (Calista is several thousand to ten thousand yen cheaper). While I assume it was an oversight, I think future bookers should be aware of this. (I was promised a room upgrade and a refund, so if the refund comes through, it was a very satisfying experience). The bathtub in the photo is from the Calista Regal room after the upgrade. Cell phone reception occasionally cuts out while moving, but it's connected most of the time.

Due to my busy work schedule, I didn't have enough time to confirm the order details in advance, but Drake proactively and meticulously inquired about our needs and made all the necessary arrangements. During our 2-day, 1-night trip, the excellent transportation, and the wonderful experience on Grand Pioneers made for a fantastic trip to Ha Long Bay. We booked the 2D1N Grand Pioneers Cruise and it was such a wonderful experience! I’m currently pregnant and traveling with my husband, and the whole crew took extra care of us from the moment we stepped on board. They were attentive, kind, and always checked if I was comfortable throughout the trip. The guide was amazing, the itinerary was well-planned, and the room was beautiful. The views of Ha Long Bay were unforgettable. Transfers were smooth, but the cruise service itself was exceptional. Overall, highly recommended especially for couples, families, and even for expecting moms like me. We felt safe, relaxed, and very well taken care of. 🤍

This was an unforgettable experience — truly heartwarming in every way. The cruise, its facilities, and especially the service were impeccable. From the moment we booked, our amazing SST Travel operator, Dophin, stayed in touch, helping us adjust pickup details and sending clear instructions (with photos!) that made everything effortless. The operation was impressively well-organized — we received timely WhatsApp reminders for each step, so we never had to worry or reach out for help. Special thanks to Dophin, who even assisted with last-minute itinerary changes late at night. This level of care made the entire journey completely stress-free.

Itinerary: The travel agency provides hotel pick-up and drop-off services, making travel very convenient. They will contact you via WhatsApp before departure to verify your information and provide important reminders. Upon arrival at the cruise ship, you can check in and enjoy the lunch buffet. The cruise ship restaurant has dedicated staff to serve you. PHI, who served our meals, was very attentive and even helped peel shrimp. After lunch, we started exploring the islands, visiting Surprise Cave and TiTop Island. The crew members provided explanations, allowing you to learn about the history and interesting stories. Dinner time offered a set dinner menu, including lobster and steak, which was very generous. That night, we celebrated my boyfriend's birthday. The travel agency made a note to the cruise ship to make arrangements, and it was truly a surprise. In addition to the table decorations, the crew sang and danced, and there were flowers and a birthday cake. The scene was lively, joyful, and unforgettable. Value for money: Although the price is slightly higher than similar offerings, the service is excellent, responsible, and courteous, making it well worth the experience. Service: The travel agency's responses were prompt and polite, and the cruise ship staff were enthusiastic, so the overall feeling was very good, making for a pleasant cruise trip.

It was my first trip to Hanoi, and the purpose of this Halong Bay cruise was to take part in the tour. After I made the reservation, it took a while for the reservation to be confirmed, which made me very anxious. However, two days beforehand, I received detailed information about the schedule and other matters via text message, which dispelled my pre-booking anxiety. The scenery and food were even more amazing than I had imagined, and the hospitality of the staff was five-star. If you are planning to go to Halong Bay, I highly recommend taking an overnight cruise. The Pioneer was especially wonderful.
