This small museum displays information about earthquakes that struck Canterbury region in year 2010-2011. It gives an insight to the public of the situations at that time and how restoration work has been progressing over the past decade. It’s good to spend sometime to visit this place to better understand this rebuilt city. Ticket redemption is way and fast.
small but interesting muesum. watching the people on video sharing their quake experience is so emotional. tickets easy to redeem
Great museum with educational displays, sobering pictures and artifacts from the earthquakes, and video loops with interviews from locals who lived through it recorded shortly afterward, and then again for their recollections 10 years later.
The earthquake details are quite thorough, and the personal stories are well-told. The photos, videos, and displayed artifacts are very impressive!
Easy to use the QR code for entry. If you love museums and want to learn more about Christchurch, this is defintely worth visiting. The location is very accessible in the city centre. I visited a weekday but it became quite busy in the late afternoon, so go early if you can.
very interesting museum that shows everything about earthquake here. I liked it more than the main museum which was free.
Small museum which takes about 20-30mins. More fun for kids thou. Adults who are not into earthquakes might find it boring.
Easy to use the Klook ticket, very informative exhibits, can be a little crowded on weekends. There are a few seating spots around the small film screens.
