What to expect
Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort, located in Minami-Uonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, boasts stunning views of the Uonuma Basin and a vast 236-hectare slope. With over 70 years of history, it is one of Niigata’s most renowned ski resorts. The resort features a fan-shaped layout with three bases and 20+ diverse courses, along with the area's largest night skiing, available daily during peak season.
It is only about 80 minutes from Tokyo to Echigo Yuzawa Station by Shinkansen, followed by a 10-minute shuttle bus ride, or just 5 minutes by car from Shiozawa Ishiuchi IC. Recent additions include the high-tech Sunrise Express lift and Ishiuchi Maruyama Resort Center (2018), the Snow Dome glamping facility (2020), and an observation terrace (2022) offering panoramic views of the Uonuma Basin!
