Puebla, Cholula & Tonantzintla Guided Tour with Optional Lunch

This one-day tour was exceptionally well organized and highly efficient — I strongly recommend it. The itinerary was detailed and thoughtfully arranged, allowing us to experience three different sites that represent three distinct periods of Mexican culture. It was a truly enriching day. Our guide, Miriaml, was incredibly professional. She provided clear and informative explanations in both English and Spanish, and her warm hospitality made the experience even better. I even happened to meet her again the next day at the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, and she kindly helped me find my way and recommended restaurants. Truly outstanding service!

The trip from Mexico City to Cholula was very scenic on a sunny day as we drove past two snow-capped magnificent volcanoes. But the van is a bit claustrophobic and the seating not so comfortable. Both the pyramid archaeological sites and the churches of Cholula and Puebla are stunning with loads of interesting history. The lunch timing was very late at 3:30pm. The tour operator should pass out drinking water for long trips like this.

A fantastic experience! Even traveling alone, I felt completely at ease. Our guide, Álvaro, was incredibly knowledgeable, spoke multiple languages, and took great photos. The itinerary was very well-planned and efficient. Cholula and Puebla are must-visit towns if you're in Mexico City, especially if you're interested in history and culture!

The city of Puebla had a different, colorful, and very beautiful atmosphere compared to Mexico City. I'm glad I went. We had three hours of free time, which was plenty to explore the city thoroughly. Our guide, Oscar, was very friendly and provided detailed explanations in both Spanish and English!

The highlight of the tour is the visit to Puebla, which is a captivating city in central Mexico, celebrated for its stunning colonial architecture and vibrant colours. The tour met expectations, thanks to our friendly guide, who spoke both Spanish and English, enriching our experience with insights into the city However, the journey was marred by significant issues. The two-hour ride was uncomfortable due to poor road conditions and a lack of adequate coach suspension, leading to excessive bouncing. Additionally, ventilation within the coach was insufficient, creating a stuffy environment. Moreover, the lengthy waiting time at the gathering point upon our return added to our frustration. While Puebla is undoubtedly worth visiting, improvements in transportation logistics could greatly enhance the experience, making it even more enjoyable for future travellers. Overall, I encourage exploring this wonderful city while being mindful of potential travel inconveniences.

Our guide was great, and the tour was a lot of fun. It was a shame that it was difficult to find the meeting point because there were a lot of people from other tours at the same time.

I hate leaving bad reviews for local businesses, but dishonest practices force my hand. I am giving two stars only because our guide was genuinely passionate and knowledgeable. Right after booking, we were hit with extra fees: $13 pp for a transfer and $20 pp for a lunch they claimed was $25 value. The transfer was a disaster. The driver said our hotel was inaccessible, making us walk 1km to meet him. An Uber Black would have been cheaper and picked us up right at our door. Because of the walking delay, we got stuck in the cramped van back seats. avoid those at all costs! The guide and itinerary was decent, but the bilingual Eng/Spanish delivery made it hard to undertand. The real lowlight was lunch. Stale sides(see the morsel of chicken in the photo) and an oily, bland fish dish. It was a trap for those who didn’t prepay,the owner someone on the currency exchange. When I asked the tour company for a partial transfer refund due to our 1 km hike, they outright refused. Book elsewhere.

totally love this tour and highly recommend it to anyone. Alvaro was our guide and he was one of the most personable guides i’ve seen. very knowledgeable, warm and responsible. fernando was a great driver too!
