Dujiangyan and Mount Qingcheng Private Day Tour

I managed to retrieve some of the pictures for our visit to Dujiangyan and Mount QingCheng last October. At Dujiangyan you can see the ancient irrigation system which is preserve to the present - an ingenious system developed in the early Chinese civilisation. Mt QingCheng is the birthplace of Taoism, you can find the first Taoist temple at the peak. There is a small lake at the halfway point, you can cross to the other end via ferry to continue your climb up to the top of the mountain. The climb to the top is still manageable by taking frequent breaks in-between though some paths are steep.

On the morning of worshipping the water in Dujiangyan Chengdu, it only drizzled a little! Today, I invited the tour guide Mr. Li Yangdong to accompany him locally. He was very professional and attentive. We chose to take public transportation. From the Second City Hospital Station to Xipu Station, turn the car to Dujiangyan Station, and then take the scenic express train to the north gate of Dujiangyan. There are a lot of stories about Li Bing and his son. When I saw Dujiangyan’s most famous water conservancy engineering facilities "Yuzui", "Feishayan", and "Baopingkou", I think Li Bing is really great! I asked Qingcheng Mountain to eat Dandan noodles, fried noodles and sweet cold cakes in the ancient city of Dujiangyan at noon. Sure enough, the more spicy Sichuan cuisine is! The tour guide found Uber to take us to the Qingcheng Mountain Front Mountain Scenic Area. From the parking lot, we have to take a sightseeing electric car to the ticket booth of the scenic spot. On the way up the mountain, there is an electric cable boat across Yuecheng Lake, and then the electric cable car climbs to the Shangqing Palace at an altitude of 1200m. , Laojun Pavilion, overlooking Chengdu is really super spectacular, the return tour guide took us on a three-wheeled motorcycle to Qingchengshan Station to turn the car back to the city, very intimate!

Great way to start your visit to Chengdu as Dujiangyan is the primary reason for Chengdu's existence - it provided the city much needed drinking water for centuries. We had an excellent guide Mr Li who took great care of us throughout the trip and recommended an cheap and good eating place for lunch.

Lee, who guided me and my friend, was very kind and delicate. The tremendous rush of the Chinese National Day caused us a lot of trouble and had a hard time. But if it weren't for his private guided tour of his first day in Chengdu, he probably had a harder time. Once again, I would like to thank Lee for the detailed information on Dujiangyan and Qingshan, as well as various essential tips for traveling to China. Mr. Lee, who guided me and my friend, was very kind and delicate. We had many problems and hard time together during trip because of 'Super Crowded' Chinese National Day. But, without his private guide tour which was responsible for our first day in Chengdu, maybe we could have even more hard time. Once again, I want to appreciate letting us know many necessary tips for trip to China, as well as detailed information about Dujiangyan and Qingchengshan.

Our guide, Clark, was excellent. He ensured our day ran very smoothly. He related a wealth of information about each of the stops on our itinerary. He took us to a very authentic, off the beaten lunch that was very economical and not touristy at all, and he negotiated a menu that met our dietary needs.

Traveling by the public transportation. A bit tired after the itinerary, but our guide Li made it wonderful and enjoyable. Li even took us to the local store and bargained for us using the local language so we could buy some local souvenir at a good price.

Louis was very knowledgeable, spoke good English, and was very entertaining. he must be hoarse now, coz he hardly stopped talking! He was much fitter than us going up the mountain, which was a bit embarrassing.

Our guide Ms Daisy is good and friendly. But i do not recommend visit the places during weekend as both places are super crowded.
