Pinnacles Sunset Dinner & Star Gazing Tour with Sandboarding

The team was wonderfully punctual, arriving at our hotel 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled time to ensure a stress-free start. The crew was professional and experienced. They even shared brilliant photography tips on how to capture stunning photos of the night sky and stars. The location offered truly awesome views that made the entire experience magical. Gliding down the dunes with sandboarding was an absolute blast and a huge highlight of the trip. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-organized, fun, and memorable adventure!

This was an amazing tour. Started with pickup by Sam from Lumineer at 12.25pm from our chosen hotel in a Toyota Coaster minibus; there were 13 of us on this tour, a comfortable group with people from Australia, US, Asia. Then we picked up Keith (the astronomer), then sandboarding, and finally about 4+pm while still bright, at the Pinnacles desert until dark. *What we love: (1) Sam & Keith: engaging, informative, knowledgeable, hands on. (2) BBQ dinner cooked by Sam. Fantastic spread with steak, chicken and sausages; wine, bubbly, and instant coffee & soup. (Alas the cold weather hardened the meat quickly). (3) The stargazing: beyond amazing. Keith directed us what to look out for - we saw Venus and the milky way. *Misses for us: (1) Minibus: wife sat where the back wheel was protruding; no recline for the long drive; no mobile charging capability; (2) Sandboarding: fun, but climbing up the sand was tiring, unless you're young:) Overall: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, thank u Sam & Keith!

mark and peter were our guides for the day, and they were really knowledgeable and fun! peter pulled over to let us see a wild emu, and spoke of the sand dunes and holiday life in lancelin as we were driving over for a pit stop. sand boarding was fun too, even though the hike up the dune was slightly arduous (and had a few grains to crunch on in my mouth). as we moved up further, mark brought us down to the grasslands where we got to learn about these ancient trees in great detail. the sunset over at pinnacles was really beautiful this sunday, and the telescope set up enabled us to see the moon's beautiful craters. there was a variety of homemade foods prepared alongside bbq meat! we grabbed full plates and sat around peter as he talked to us about the solar system, milky way and wayfinding with stars. i left with a lot of new knowledge about the universe, an appreciation for the slow life and admiration for our guides' dedication to creating such an impressive experience. thank you!!!

It was an incredible experience joining the trip. I especially enjoyed sand skiing and taking in the beautiful scenery. Watching the sunset in such a stunning environment was unforgettable, and seeing the stars at night in the vast, dark open space made it a truly memorable experience.

Super fun and well thought out tour! We really enjoyed the activities and our guide Aaron was also very knowledgeable and friendly, helping to cook the barbecue and share fun facts about Western Australia and the different wildlife 😋 Thank you so much !!

If there’s any other package, this is one package you must sign up for. The to and fro journey is about 5hours in total and if self driving can feel really exhausting, this package is for you. We were meticulously stopped at various toilet stops, bakery and mini view points (Indian ocean lookout, etc) But to me, the highlights have to be Lancelin Dunes + Sandboarding and the Pinnacles Desert- Sunset view + Stargazing + Wild picnic. Adrian was our guide for the day and I like his leading. I’m not into guides yapping non stop because I just want to sleep on the journey so I like that he talks when needed. He also gave up great tips on how to adjust our phone night modes to capture the stars properly. To me, he’s great. Don’t expect the dinner to be big feast but it keeps you full enough and there’s hot drinks, wine and soft drinks. Pick up and drop off was done at our hotel as it happens to be in the list. I tooked over 200photos here but just sharing only some for privacy sake.

I highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Perth! The night view from the Pinnacles was amazing, like being in a planetarium 😭❤️ I'll never forget the beautiful view of the galaxy! The tour guide was also very kind and I'm really glad I participated! There were many people who participated alone, so I think you can participate without worry even if you're alone.

When we were picked up, we received a phone call and a message to let us know we had arrived. The driving was safe and the guide was kind, but above all, the content was very fulfilling. The sand dunes and pinnacles were great, but what was even more impressive was being able to see the starry sky on a clear day. We were also able to see Venus and Jupiter through the telescope, which was very satisfying!

Sandboarding at Lancelin Sand dunes is a good fun experience, especially for my two kids 14 and 9. The lookout to Indian Ocean is beautiful. The Pinnacles Desert is a beauty during the evening. Very nice eventful trip. Only disappointing part is that we could not see any stars, probably because of the cloudy weather. Can only spot a few faint stars.

My husband and I had an amazing time on this tour! The scenery at each location was beautiful and our guide, Leighton was fantastic. He explained to us various facts about each location and was an amazing driver throughout the journey. The guides even helped us get the best photographs at the park and pointed out different planets and star systems. Their astronomy knowledge made the stargazing that much better. I’d absolutely go on this tour again.
