The Last Kampong of Singapore Private Tour

Nostalgia experience with my parents for the trip. They loved the Kampung life and enjoyed themselves. Ivan was also very experienced and shares alot of stories with us. Definitely recommended for family trip!

Love the enthusiastic guide and all the sharing of the place, as a local who did not grow up in such an environment, this was really informative. Great that this tour also provided us an opportunity to visit one of the house of the kumpong chief, really cool just experiencing it. Also love it that the guide was constantly reminding us to be conscious of the environment, respectful of the privacy of the kumpong residents. Thank you for this experience!

Informative tour with just two of us and Isaac, the guide. Mdm Sng, the owner of the land, wasn’t free to talk to us that day when we visited, but it would have been a more complete experience had we get to hear her stories.

Enjoyable and educational walking tour conducted by tour guide Mr Yap who is very knowledgeable and attentive. Glad for opportunity to chat with Ms.Sng, landlord of the kampung, who shared interesting snippets of life in the kampung. We had a really knowledgeable, passionate and friendly guide during our tour! Thought the trip was made enjoyable because of her sharing and also how she brought us through the various lifestyle patterns of people staying in the kampong! The tour was also made friendly for little children, enjoyed myself!

My family had a great time with Yap! He was not only knowledgeable but also friendly, obliging and engaging. His love for the kampong, traditional games and our country was palpable. You come away from the tour wanting to spend at least a few days living in the kampong!! Eunice, the tour guide who had taken another family group was also very cheerful and friendly. We were super blessed! The drizzle which started as our tour ended gave us the added bonus of meeting village chief Mei Hung. She was really friendly and hospitable. A kind & generous soul, she regaled us with stories and showed us how to pluck mangoes from her tree and insisted that we brought them home!

Interesting and insightful tour of the last kampong in Singapore. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the plants and animals in the kampong and introduced us to the friendly residents. We even got to visit some of the houses and played lost games such as five stones and marbles, plus tasted homemade ice lollies.

Yap was a great and knowledgeable guide ! I enjoyed learning more about my country's history while walking through the kampong. We were rewarded with a delicious grass jelly stick after the walk and it is great to see an amazing community spirit ! I highly recommend it but cover your ankles, ants!
