Phnom Penh 7 Stops Street Food Small Group Tour

This tour is highly recommended. Our guide, Jackson, was well-organized throughout the entire tour. He and the driver were both super nice and knowledgeable. We chose the group tour, and Jackson made sure to spend quality time with each of us. The food was delicious, and he ensured we enjoyed every moment. It was a great experience.

If you are in Phnom Penh and want to have a food tour, let me tell you, this is the real deal. I’ve done 12 food tours all over Southeast Asia and this was my favorite one ever. I’m not kidding, this experience was just unmatchable. I would like to highlight 3 points: 1. The tour guide, Jackson, was the friendliest I’ve ever met. He was accommodating when it came to the pickup location and always super quick to reply. His English was perfect, which really helped to get some context and history of the food places we were going to, as well as to answer any questions I had about Cambodian history, culture and affairs. 2. The food was delicious and that’s the reason all of us are taking a food tour, after all. From num pang, to pork ribs, to the dessert on the side of the street, this was a top notch gastronomical experience. I love spicy food and told Jackson in advance, he made sure I had a burning experience! The food was so good that the next day I went to one of the places again to have my last meal in Phnom Penh. 3. The values and mission behind the company organizing the tour are incredible. I was traveling solo and during the low season in Cambodia, which means I ended up taking the tour just by myself with Jackson. Honestly, they could have canceled, as it would not really be financially viable to organize a food tour for just 1 person, especially considering that it would generate food waste. But let me tell you, Jackson and Urban Forage Tours didn’t let me down, as more importantly than me, there is a whole lot of people depending on their tours to generate income (the Tuk Tuk driver, the local food stalls, the employees, etc). And the positive thing is that there was no waste, as all the leftover foods were carefully packed after every restaurant to later on give them to the homeless people of Phnom Penh. Just that by itself, would be a distinguishing factor between this tour and the others, as I’ve never had any other guide pack food away and give it away by the end of the night. I took my time to carefully write this review, as it really deserves 5 stars and I hope other travelers can have a memorable experience in Phnom Penh, just like I did.

This was such a great experience. Due to low season it turned out to be a private tour and JB took me around to a number of different places to try the local cuisine (all of which was delicious) which I would not have found if I went exploring by myself. He is quite knowledgeable not only about the food but also the culture and Cambodia/Phnom Penh and south east Asia in general and we had some good chats. There were some foods that I was not brave enough to try and he was not at all pushy about it (I did eat a cricket though which didn’t taste too bad). Thank you also to the tuk-tuk driver who took us around safely and with professionalism. Highly recommend!

Amazing food tour! Jackson is a great guide who took us to incredible locations and also talked a lot about history and current state of Phnom Penh, kept us entertained!!! The food portions were perfect so the 7 stops did not feel overwhelming! and every dish was incredible! Tuk tuk ride was the cherry on top! Highly recommend!!
