We took the shortest trail to see the waterfall. A leisurely walk to and fro the trail will take approximately 45 minutes. Rest rooms mid way to the waterfall observation deck was also very clean. Unfortunately, the observation deck to the upper part of the waterfall was not accessible due to the fallen stones. There was even a scenic and forest bathing trail that may take a longer time.

After entering the Neidong Forest Recreation Area (formerly known as the Valley of the Dolls), after about 100 meters, walk up to the scenic trail for 1.5 kilometers. The zigzag-shaped trail goes up, and the height along the way is quite steep. It is the tung flower blooming season, and there are many tung flowers in bloom along the road. They are like the snow-white appearance in May, which is very beautiful in full bloom. There are large tree areas along the way, where you can enjoy and take pictures along the way. There are land slopes and wooden plank roads along the way. On the high point of the road, you can also look down at the Luohao Dam. Further up, you can take the Forest Bathing Trail, which is about 500 meters inside the cave forest road, that is, the forest of Shanlin is 1.7 kilometers tall. The entire height of the park is about 440 meters, and there is no road at the end. It takes about 1 hour to go up! Go down and join the forest bathing trail. There is a pavilion where you can rest for a while. Then go down to the upper and lower waterfall areas to watch the waterfalls and enjoy the negative ion water mist. The Leshui Bridge section is the best scenic spot for the upper and lower waterfalls. You can also take a short break. The whole process of moving up and down can last for about 2.5-3 hours. Finally, we will go from the waterfall viewing trail to the exit, pass through the Luohao Dam area, and return to the exit. Parking space is a bit scarce during the holidays. Holiday leisure sports are places to visit.

2025/1/29 The weather was fine on the first day of the Lunar New Year. Neidong National Forest Recreation Area is a good place for a spring outing. The altitude is 230~800 meters. The trail is flat and suitable for both the elderly and children. The highest waterfall has stairs, but it is definitely worth it. Climb up to enjoy the view and absorb the abundant phytoncides. On the way back, you can also visit Wulai Old Street and soak in the hot springs before going home.

The inner cave should be called the paradise closest to the city! Along the way, there were blue skies, white clouds, lush greenery, and the air was filled with the aroma of phytoncides. The walk to the waterfall is very easy. If you want a slightly more difficult challenge, you can also choose to take the forest bathing trail. It only takes 30 minutes to walk the waterfall viewing trail in Neidong Forest Recreation Area. The beauty of the waterfall in the valley, accompanied by negative ions, is really cool. Although it was raining heavily when we came, it did not affect our mood for enjoying the waterfall. Buying tickets in advance from klook can save time for entering the park. New Taipei citizens can enjoy a half-price discount by showing their ID cards. It is recommended to arrive early to have parking spaces. At the end, you can also soak in the hot springs and eat aboriginal food in Wulai Old Street, which is awesome!

This amusement area is very close to Taipei. If you buy it on-site, you will get the same holiday fare, but if you buy it on the platform, there will be no points.
