4D3N Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

This trek was truly amazing and incredibly enjoyable — a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The guide was very attentive and consistently checked on my condition, which made the entire journey feel safe and well supported. The meals along the way were delicious, and enjoying a hot cup of tea after a long walk was especially comforting. The accommodations chosen by the guide were excellent; waking up to a breathtaking view of the Annapurna south was absolutely unforgettable.

I participated alone, and the guide Ramkumar arranged very well, the whole trip went smoothly, and the meal and accommodation arrangements were also very satisfactory. It must be noted that after paying the fee, you need to contact klook yourself to provide your personal passport and photo file before you can apply for a mountain entry permit. The guide will contact you via whatsapp the day before the trip and inform you of the itinerary and what needs to be prepared. My guide will adjust the travel speed according to my personal situation along the way, and the accommodation will give me priority in arranging a room with a view, and I will try my best to help me deal with the food according to my requirements. On the afternoon of the third day, the itinerary needed to be adjusted due to the bad weather, and the guide tried his best to find the best plan for me. This itinerary is highly recommended.

The tour guide is very talkative and recommends everyone to buy an itinerary because it is generally difficult to reach this place by yourself. It is easier to go with a group.

My tour guide was Mr. Gyanashwor Adhikari. He has done an excellent job of not only guiding me, but also looking after me throughout the trip. For example, he helped me to remove the worms that would bite the legs for every few minutes, he was so careful that he could notice me feeling exhausted in the third day before I said it, then he insisted to carry my bag for me, he always made sure I am being safe and getting what I wanted. He was so patient at explaining everything about the trip and questions I asked, like the schedule, location of the snow mountains and hill, basic knowledge about mountains, etc. Overall a very good experience with Mr. Gyanashwor Adhikari, way beyond my expectation.

The accommodation arrangements are very good, and each hotel also has hot water supply. The porter also accompanied us to Poonhill to watch the sunrise and took good care of us on the way. In addition, the tour guide and porter also carefully prepared the fruit plate for us after dinner. .

The itinerary stated that it included an entrance ticket to all national parks, but I didn’t understand why I had to pay for the entrance ticket to the top of Poon Hill. The itinerary also clearly stated that free tea or coffee was provided with three meals a day, but we didn’t get any free tea or coffee when we ordered drinks. The departure time was about 5pm, but we arrived late at about 7pm. We were also late on the day of departure...

I was alone. I was very reliable and I offered any assistance, so I added a lot to this trip. The mountaineering intensity is a bit tired, but it can be fast or slow according to personal conditions and guides, rest or continue. This hiking trip is a memorable memory.

Friendly and helpful staffs. Guide with good experience and knowledge about the places that we’re trekking. Highly recommend to people that are doing trekking the first time.

Overall experience was ok, recommended to travel in big groups. Best not to give 100% trust to the guides when it comes to paying items, just make sure you check the bills.
