Very good experience on the tasman island cruise. Guides are friendly and nice. They provide a waterproof big coat to wear while on the cruise. Generally, no water splash on us. The "driver" has very good skills. Cruise not bumpy but very windy and cold wind blowing in your face. Can see alot of seals and nice view of Candlestick and other amazing views of the Tasman island area. Lucky enough to see dolphins and so near our boat.
Really enjoyed the tour. The guides are funny and interactive. We managed to see a whale, seals and beautiful rock formations! Definitely recommended.
this 3h cruise isn’t for everyone but it was really fun to me, it was like a roller coaster ride on the ocean! i wore 4 layers of top and it was just right. do remember to bring beanie & sunglasses to shield from the sea spray. unfortunately went on a bipolar weather day and didn’t see any dolphins or whales :( if not the money would have been more worthwhile. saw many seals and rocks and enjoyed my time nonetheless :) would recommend to go on a sunny day
The captain's sailing skills were excellent, and his explanations were detailed, witty, and humorous. He took us to many places where dolphins and sea lions were active, and everyone had a great time. Highly recommended.
My family had a great time with Tasman Island Cruise. Saw so much wildlife (whale, dolphins, seals) and the rock cliffs along the coastlines were so awesome. They provide huge red raincoats, but please do layer up! We went on 2 Dec but was still so cold despite wearing 3 layers. Do also wear beanies and gloves as it does get quite cold halfway into the tour while you are out at sea. The 2 lady guides were great and created a fun atmosphere! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!
It's a lot of fun, but it's only 2.5 hours instead of 3 hours. The captain will take you to see dolphins and seals, but the spots where the boat stops seem to vary from boat to boat? We didn't see some of the things we saw in other people's posts on social media. The guide pays great attention to safety and checks the seatbelts every time everyone sits down again. Also, it was very windy the day we went, but it didn't feel very shaky and we didn't get seasick. The captain even gave us a taste of surfing, which was so much fun.
Awesome tour! Highlight of my days in Hobart. We were lucky to have good weather. Tour guides are experienced!
Definitely a highlight of my trip to Tassie. We were lucky to be able to do the full east coastline (apparently only happens 60 days a year). Not long after departing the port, we saw dolphins! Also managed to see albatross, seals, and other wildlife. Tour guides were really knowledgeable and humorous too. Loved that they looped around each scenic spot so that passengers on each side of the boat got to take good pics. Word of caution for those who easily get seasick, though — it’s quite a bumpy ride even with clear conditions. Else, overall an amazing tour that I’d go for again in a heartbeat.
Great experience. we were lucky the weather was optimal and the sky was blue despite it was in winter month. Be sure to wear warm clothes. We also get to see whales migrating so it was a plus.
The three-hour boat tour was thoroughly enjoyable, and we saw lots of wildlife (dolphins, seals, sea lions, and seabirds). I was very satisfied with the entire trip; they provided windproof and waterproof jackets and motion sickness medication at the start. The guide also introduced each scenic spot, stopping at every location to ensure everyone had a chance to take photos. It's a highly recommended tour! 👍🏻
