What to expect
Not a fan of huge crowded amusement parks? Then Rokko Snow Park is just what you’ve been looking for. Located just about 15 kilometers to the north-east of Kobe, this small ski hill opened all the way back in 1964 and was the first artificial snow park in Japan. Take in the beautiful winter scenery, go skiing, snowboarding or simply have fun in the snow. The gentle ski slope is perfect for beginners, so you can relax and not be overwhelmed by challenging trails and high mountains. With ski equipment and clothing all taken care of, you won’t have to pack extra things and can easily add Rokko Snow Park to your itinerary in Japan! After your day in the cold, take a dip in one of the most famous hot springs in Japan, Arima Onsen! It's the perfect end to your day of fun in the snow.

Wonderfull experience. Will surely recommended to our friends and family. The lunch was good though the time in the Park was quite too short. We explore the Kobe City and experience the rain snow which is Great. People in Japan are incredible including Nakki, our tour guide. Will definitely include this in my next trip to Japan.
8:30 is a tourist bus on Namba. It arrives at Rokkosan Ski Resort at about 9:40. The vehicle is distributed with tickets and meal tickets, and then freely moves. I personally recommend that this place is not suitable for skiing because it is artificial snow and the time is very long. It's short, so playing with snow and eating ramen is almost enough. Depart at 1:00 on time to Arima Onsen, but don't be late, as the tour guide said that it only waited 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, two people had not yet arrived. Fortunately, I was very punctual. Arrival, free activities. If you buy a hot spring package, you can start admission, or go to Shouxin Street to frighten, and leave for Namba on time at 4:50. As it was the last day of the holiday, I encountered a big traffic jam, which was delayed by 30 minutes, but the whole process was very suitable for us. Eliminate troublesome transfers, so a five-star rating.
I was excited to get to Rokko snow park. It was a great experie nce for those who have not been or seen a snow like me. It was a fake snow nevertheless it was amazing experience. With Klook, it was hassle free.
Fun experience especially for kids. How I wish I can ski so I can also play there. Nevertheless, sledge was exciting and fun. Also never miss to experience bathing in an onsen. Just be naked ready!😉
The overall itinerary was very good. I originally reported a day trip to the ski resort and hot spring with my 6-year-old son, but because I had a tattoo, I asked the tour guide Arima Hot Spring to allow people with textures to enter. The guide said that tattooed people are not allowed to enter. Stay at the ski resort all day long. Depart from Namba to Rokko Mountain at 8:30. The journey takes about an hour. There is no traffic jam. The journey is very fast. After arriving, you can rent ski pants and a full set of ski equipment (with discounts). Although it is an artificial snow field, it is enough for children to play. If you are a ski master, this field may not be suitable. You start skiing from about 10 o'clock, and about 1:30 pm, you return the ski equipment first. Just go to the restaurant for lunch (wrap lunch or ramen on the journey, the taste is not bad, not bad), take a rest and rent a ski bag (500yen rent, 1000yen deposit) with your son, go to the other side to play ski bag and Snowman, equipment was returned at about 3:30 pm, and the tour bus park outside the gate gathered at 4 o'clock to return. The overall travel time is very abundant. I personally think that if you bring children to play skiing and warming at the same time Travel, less time should be enough, it is recommended to consider. .
had a great time at Rokko park. 2,5 hours i think is too short incl lunch, we just playing sliding snow inside the park. we dont want to spend time with q for rental things. Lunch is little bit dispointed, after that we try arima onsen, very nice onsen, bit its too long 3,5 hours there. Tour guide can speak english very well. Overall the tour was OK.
It is recommended to sign up for ski school online. As the timing allocated for ski is quite short, you may not want to waste unnecessary time trying to figure out yourself instead. As for the onsen, it is superb.
It ’s not bad, but there is no snow. The snow making machine used still feels a lot worse than the snow. There is only a monotonous driving range and it ca n’t be as slippery as a normal ski resort. It ’s a pity to take us to the Arima area in the afternoon to take a bath It ’s not as big as the map looks. Many places can be reached within a few minutes on foot.
This year it ’s too hot in many places. The field is very thin. Basically, there is only one artificial snow ramp for some people who know more about slippery. There is only a small amount of space for beginners to slide a short distance. Near urban area. Fortunately, there is a bus for another group, so we do n’t need to leave for hot springs at 1 o’clock (we have stated that we do n’t participate in hot springs when we sign up). Overall it was pretty good.
The kids had so much fun in the snow! ❤️ We did not avail the onsen, instead we walked around the area and tried some of the foods, had a look around the area for best buys. It was a great experience.
